you bring up good points , i just would like to see from a gaming perspective some of those younger guys. As far boxing goes i really like some of the young guys, but sometimes they get the big fight before they are ready and they fall hard. Or they hype them up then when the get a real fight they get dropped.

I absolutely hate drawing mma/boxing comparions...but imagine if there wasn't the UFC umbrella for all the foreigners (JDS, GSP, Silva, etc.). Boxing has a ton of talent (Martinez, Froch, Bute, Haye, etc..) but more effort is required from the fan to enjoy the talent.

For example, from 160 to around 168, there is more talent in boxing than ever in the history of the sport. The days of RJJ, B-Hop and Toney being able to beat up cab drivers around that weight is no longer viable. I could give you a crop of 10 boxers in the weight range that is flat out murderers row. King Arthur is a damn good fighter and just got completely destroyed by Froch. Kessler is the Marvin Hagler of the generation (tough *** sob who fights everyone on their own turf) and Ward beat him decisively (and Ward just took on a complete bull and pitched a motherf'n shutout).

Boxing was dead after Ali..then Hagler/SRL/Hearns/Duran...then Tyson....then ODLH...now when Pac is gone...yadi yada yada....yawn yawn yawn.

Boxing will always be amazing....even if it continues to shoot itself in the foot. Hopefully when the old guard dies (Arum, King, etc..), Boxing can get reform it so badly needs to be even more amazing.

I really gotta give props to showtime for making the SuperSix tournament happen. A lot of great fights and placed the spotlight on a lot of great fighters.

I agree with you. If I was in charge...you would have the super obvious classic fighters and the rest of the roster (40 fighters or so) would be active fighters. And then the rest of the classic fighters would be dlc only.

For example, I have zero interest in Marciano or Louis or Liston because boxing has evolved way too much for that too even be fun for me. It would be like Wlad fighting a light heavyweight in Rock's case. I would trade Marciano and Louis for Bute and Ward in a heartbeat.

But if someone wants Rock or Louis...then they can have a classics dlc pack.

I like the idea of filling 90% the roster with current fighters, throw in Ali, and few others who have been willing to participate without hassle for years. Have legends like Tyson as dlc.

Its a hurculean effort but I would LOVE to see current boxers in this game.

A partnership with a site like boxingrec.com or boxingscene.com would also be a big win.

I can see the majority of you guys have no appreciation for the history of boxing. A 50/50 split between today's fighters and yesterday's fighter is the best way to go. (IMO)

i can appreciate historical fighters, i just get tired of see those guys, then some historical fighters i would like to see don't make it. i think it would be better suited with more current fighters. of all the historical fighters Evander should be in the group of fighters .

This is how I feel. I won't mock FNC because of the historical fighters but I am growing tired of the roster.

I mean they get who they can there is no boxers union so every boxer is a self contractor unless you can get a promoter who can get all his guys to agree. but overall with the cab system it made the game better last year for guys who didn't make it in the game. especially the sharing between consoles.

I thought Evander was in the game. Wasn't he in one of the DLC packs for FN4??
