Fight Card for week of 12/13/10

    Televised Bouts
    Showtime
Jean Pascal (26-1) vs. Bernard Hopkins (51-5-1)
After his big win over "Sad" Chad Dawson, can Pascal capitalize with what would be a huge win against a legendary boxer. Will Hopkins be able to be the Hopkins that defeated Tarver and Pavlik? Will he be the Hopkins that beat Jones Jr. recently (I hope not)?

I got Pascal by unanimous, but close decision; I hate picking against Hopkins, but the young guys need to start carrying the torch.

    Fox Sports
Two fights with names I am not fully familiar with, but Arce who I am very familiar with will be the main event against Adolfo Ramos (never heard of him). Though, we may not recognize the competitiors Fox Sports usually has exciting scraps.

If I had Fox Sports I would watch it for Arce.

I am not sure of the channel, but many people are finding it on there spanish channels
Tavoris Cloud (21-0) vs. Fulgencio Zuniga (24-4-1)
Man I would watch this match if I could. This will most likely be a slugfest for the few rounds it may last. Cloud is a tough cat, and I hope to see him take on Pascal (if he wins or loses) or Dawson soon.

Also on the card Mayorga, and some up and coming heavy Solis I believe.

    Non-Televised Bouts that interest me
Paul Malignaggi (27-4) vs. Michael Lozada (39-6-1)
Could be an easy fight for Malignaggi if Lozada is on his level or step down. To bad Malignaggi never got that career defining win. Great charisma. I really appreciated his toughness facing Cotto, and not quitting when the many would have.

I caught highlights of Cloud's, Mayorga, and Solis fights. They looked pretty entertaining and it was Don King who put the card on. I will definitely look for a replay.

Have a good weekend guys, we have some good bouts the last few weeks and I hope 2011 can continue this momentum without to many non-boxing weekends.
