Boxing is boxing.....there are different styles and ways to beat them

I keep reading on this forum, I like to play sim or have sim/realistic matches. Boxing has no definitive way box to say this is how a person should fight. You have brawlers, counter-punchers, outside fighters, etc; so to say someone doesn't fight realistic because he likes to throw bombs(hard punches) is crazy.
The thing is the gameplay and mechanics associated with things boxers do. If a boxer doesn't respond realistic to certain actions it's hard to fight realistic, but fans need to stop saying fighting tactical or acting like you are playing chess is fighting sim.

    Here's examples of styles....

every style has a way to beat them it's just are they present or effective enough in Fight Night Champion.

You are totally right. Each style has strengths and weaknesses, and the consequences of each aren't always represented. That's my issue. The judging on the game favors the high volume puncher with no regard to power punches or connect rate.

Tyrell Biggs LMAO! He could have been great...... EA could catch my attention if they used the catch phrase "styles make fights". Exploiting different weaknesses and using them for you own good. The truly great fighters are versatile and can use different styles in the ring when the opportunity presents itself. A perfect example of this is Mosley vs. De La Hoya 1, where De La Hoya stalked Mosley efficiently for the first half of the fight. With the proper adjustments Mosley took over the fight and won. If you look at both fighters records closely you could see they SKILLFULLY went with the "bombs away" style to quickly dispatch an opponent of lesser skill.

I actually think if EA spent time on teaching the craft in the game we would see more players "skillfully" use this strategy and others. In the meantime I will have good time quickly dispatching those that don't.

yea you could look at a series like Ward Vs Gatti. first was a boxing match , second was brawler and third was just a war, my favorite three fight series. I still winch when I think about the body shots Ward was taking from Gatti.
