I don't have the game, but IGN's review seemed fair considering that once you finish the Champions Mode, there's really nothing for offline gamers to do.
So unless you're really into exhibition matches, this game is basically a rental for those that don't care to play online.

9.3? Out of what?

Maybe I expect to much, but after 2 years I thought they'd do much better.

Seems like other games represent their sport much more accurately. With no other boxing games on the market, I'm comparing this to NBA 2K & The Show, and a 9.3 is waaaay too high.

Or maybe the retail version is that much better than the demo.

I have had this game since Feb 25th, I beat the Championship Mode and never really touched it since then. I can careless about online, I am more of a single player or when friends come over we hit up FNC. But other than that, stays in its case. So I agree with you. But it is the best boxing game ever hands down.

Thanks for the insight. I'm still going to buy this game (eventually), but I can't afford to drop $70 for a game I know will collect dust after a few days.

I love career modes (My player, road to the show, Be a Pro, etc) so Legacy Mode is very, very important to me. I was hoping for a severe upgrade in this department.

So when this game gets down to $20 in the summer, I'll pick it up. Especially after it's patched up.

Money99, you wrote exactly how I feel about the game. Though I will wait until it is 40 dollars; don't think I can hold off until the summer.

I agree 100%. I usually play solo 85% of the time. So Champion mode and legacy were the main draw for me. But i will jump online as well here and there.

But a 9.3? 8 is much more fair and still a solid score.

There is no way in hell this game deserves a 9.3.

I can write 2 pages of things this game does wrong. Crazyness man.

Obviously the stuff thast IGN is smoking is not nearly as good as the stuff Gametrailers is smoking.

No problem. Legacy Mode is very very plain as usual... But Champion Mode is a lot of fun but VERY short. I beat Champion Mode in about 3-4 hours. But again, best boxing game out there hands down...

From what I see its a really good looking game. And I don't mind offline single player exhibition matches.

BUT......there's not enough here for me to rush out and get it. I'll wait and get it later down the line. Gonna spend my money on The Show, Nascar, and Tiger Woods in the next 2 months.

FNC maybe sometime this summer.
