    Automatic Loss for Disconnect? Seriously?

Okay so I was playing OWC mode yesterday and I am facing a guy that I have a way better XP and rating than but he has a high DNF percentage. I think, "Oh. What the heck. Here's hoping the connection will last" and fight him anyway. Just as our fighters are making their ring entrances the connection goes out. I'm thinking "No bigee" until I look at my record afterwards and see that it gives me a big fat loss. What the heck!? We hadn't even fought one round and he gets credited with a win and I get stuck with a loss?

Now that has happened three others time and as a result I am unable to climb up the leaderboard. One of the times I am convinced that the guy simply fought one round against me and then disconnected so he could get the win because he had won that round. I don't understand how this works though. How come I get stuck with a loss for someone else's disconnect? EA should follow real boxing's formula and only count the fight if four rounds have been completed and then just treat it like an accidental injury and give it to whoever is ahead on the cards. But if it happens before the fight begins or before four rounds it should be a NO CONTEST!

I'm sorry but this plus the microtransactions has me thinking that EA has seriously screwed up online play yet AGAIN!

You couldn't do the 4 rounds then who ever is up on the cards. You would have guys fighting on the outside for 4 rounds just to get ahead on score cards and then would drop connection so they get win and does not take so long. Then they rinse and repeat.

All I know is like you said, it truly feels as if online is in shambles. I am going home and play some Top Spin 4 Demo, then come March 15th I am seriously thinking of trading this in towards Top Spin 4!

Im moving towards trading it in too. I see it now. Jab is a useless punch. Hooks are all the rage. Very frustrated with online already.

This is Brutal. I don't have the game yet and won't until its 19.99. But I was thinking, I am mainly an off-line gamer, so I am going to get screwed. If EA ever releases another boxing game, it will be in 2 years. Who knows what gaming will be like in 2 years, but it won't be focusing on single player, I know that. And now that on-line is so frogged up, it would appear that a majority of their time needs to focus on fixing this and other glaring issues.

I just don't think that a great career mode will ever come to fruition.

Exactly. Especially not with these sheep that will do whatever EA wants. Oh you want me to pay more money on top of the 65$ i paid for the game just to compete in a worthless online mode?? Sure! Here ya go. $$$

Why would EA even consider a great career mode when all they have to do is sucker these sheep into paying ridiculous amounts of money for cheesy online modes?

It is sad and I really hate agreeing with it, but you are right. The part I put in bold says it all. I could understand paying for new fighters, new ropes, gloves, etc. That is up to the costumer, but this XP packs forced on us to even use the mode is completely wrong on multiple levels.

At the rate this game will be traded in by people, FNC will be $19.99 by May so you won't have to wait too long.
