    EA Sports Please Fix This!!

Why is that every time a new game comes out players have to seek out the flaw of the game and use to there advantage(SAD). I thought the the unwritten code amongst players was not to exploit the games mistakes but to petition to the developers about the error they made.

The flaw that I am talking about is the low body jab/cross spamming. I noticed it in the DEMO, I expressed it before on a THREAD previously. But then I thought to myself, EA SPORTS will fix the problem its a just a DEMO.I bought the game as soon as it came out, and have been having tons of fun with it. When I first started playing online competition, things where fine I was actually have some great boxing matches, I was quoting the game as "THE BEST BOXING GAME EVER! HANDS DOWN!" then I started to notice players utilizing it more and more. I couldn't believe EA SPORTS didn't see this flaw a long time ago because it is so blatant! For example last night I was playing in H2H, and I kid you not, the 4 matches I played every single one of them spammed the heck out of the LOW BODY JAB/CROSS. I couldn't stop it! I tried to move and slip, block, throw hooks to the head, but no matter what I did I would continue to get caught by it. (ANd on top of all that they always pick the strongest boxer in the weight class, so its even more unstoppable) They would spam my body until all my stamina was eventually drained. I couldn't believe that I was getting KO'D by body JABS!!! If they don't fix this soon then it will ruin the online experience. Eventually all you will see are players lowbody spamming and whoever gets drained first, loses. I don't even like to go online like I used to because I know I'm going to run into a spammer more times than none. And what was even more SAD about it was the players I lost to where all within the top 100 rank (SAD). Is it that important to get a win? CHESSE the game all for RANK? Why can't you guys play the game like how its meant to be played? But what it boils down to, is that EA SPORTS needs to fix this, I hope they have seen the issue and will repair it on a patch. Are there any other players online that feel me on this issue??? I trying to spread the word

Well considering that's one of the "Lessons" you learn in the Tutoral/Prizefighter II mode, I am sure that EA was well aware that the Spam Jab was a great viable strategy.

I'm confused lol Are you saying your ok with spamming? ANd yes I do go through the story modes, but I spend most my time online. Any one who knows boxing knows that fighters don't sit there and throw hundreds of body jabs in fight. The body jab is meant to keep your opponent honest or distract them to get other shots in. Tell me this, when have you ever seen a fight where a boxer is throwing practically nothing but body jabs? And wins the fight? NEVER.. Obviously you utilize this spamming tactic, all I can say is, do you, but in my opinion its one of the biggest flaws in the game.

No, I'm not OK with spamming or any exploit that is cheesy. But in that silly story mode you are forced to spam the jab in one fight, and its amazingly effective. So EA obviously programmed the Spam body jab on purpose.

The real problem to me is the guard is programmed to weaken after a certain amount of punches more than the strength of the punches. They use both, but the game code think four jabs should weaken a guard and that is ridiculous. I can't recall how many times I've been stunned only to see some 6-8 CAB spam jab my guard to weaken it and follow with a straight/hook. That's what happens with the body blows, they weaken the guard to quickly. Give the jab some pop, please, but let it be upside someones head doing damage, not my blocks!

I have the issue as well, and two out three times I step back as soon as they start and power straight them upside the head or to the gut. I actually just folded a guy in half for a KO a few minutes ago that was doing that.

Its sad but true...online gaming isnt fun at all if you go H2H and dont compete against friends who will give you a fair fight. Im so tiered of all these peops exploiting game flaws no matter what. Never thought that a few years ago when i went online with my XBOX cause i was so excited about the aspect to do exactly that--compete online. Playing a nice Franchise offline never gives me suchs feelings of beeing feed up and loosing the fun when gaming.

Re: EA Sports Please Fix This!!

They've got a lot of work ahead of them to fix online. I hope they work it out but I don't have high hopes. They have got to stop guys from loading up on one or two punches. Cap abilities until you raise up other areas of your fighter. A 79 rated fighter with a maxed out left hook doesn't make for a fair and balanced game.

                    Matchup engine needs work too.

Stamina needs more attention to counter the excessive punchers who don't bother to play defense.

                    Body jab is a nightmare.

                    The list goes on.

I don't think it will take a miracle though. Just some attention.

Sure they need to fix all youve mentioned but: I see a big problem in the behaviour and special in the moral of the so called chesers. I know what im saying must sound like comming from some sort of a hippie who is beliving in a better world. But in general EA has giving the gamer with this Game a good and solid product to work with. I wanna point out, that when im playing offline, im having a good time and often great fights without throwing 999 left hooks or some other sort of absurd things i could do. Simple playing the game as it should be played.

If my neighbour isnt @ home and has forgotten to close the window, that not mean, that i if i see it run as quick as i can and take advantage of the situation and rob him. Im anyoed about all the flaws this game has when we talk about the online part, thats no question. But on the other hand, if i was an programmer of a game, i would care first of about the best experience a customer could get when playing the game alone or with friends (frieds dont use flaws and if you can punch them) and not to programming against possible flaws they could take advanatge of if they wanna do. You know what i wanna ponit out here? No matter what game i played online against people i didnt knew, the biggest part of them were cheseres. The List of games and their well known flaws we all do know would be impossible to write down. In the opposite, i can only name one game that was enjoyable i have played online with stranges. Moto GP 07, where the option was given to join lobbies with crashes were switched off, so it was all about racing.

My personal tendence is going more and more to blame the people 4 what is going on in the online world and not only the programmers. I would call a game a failure if the flaws are so big that it is impossible to play. But if i own a game that is a blast when we talk about graphiks and even the singelplayer experiene is fine, the programmers did their job well. In one sense: If you are having the possibility to do things that not means, you have to do it. Blame the silly users, the moral of the people in common and so on.

Don't get me wrong I've had some amazing fights with guys who play the game the right way. You should be able to seek out and exploit your opponents weaknesses without it taking away from the authenticity of the game. I think it sucks but time has to be spent combating the stinky cheese.

A simple limit on how far you can increase each ability until your fighter improves other areas would help level this.

Decrease stamina an additional 15% for excessive punching and in the later rounds have stamina regenerate much slower for high volume punchers.

Increase the blocking ability against body jabs.

                        Refine the matchup search engine.

Four simple fixes would make a significant difference.

I don't mean to be so negative I think it's a pretty good game.

@RumbleCard: No No...i think ive understood what youve said. So i hope you do so too, because im coming from a country were english isnst the main language and it isnt that easy 4 me to write down what is going through my mind. (look at my name here in the forum and you will know were im living ) No..you are right with every single thing youve mentioned!!!

But...what i have experienced in my carrer of taking part in the online gaming is very similar to the real world. In the beginnig with the orginal XBOX and my first game NFL 2K4, the main part of the online matchups were very enjoyable and the chesers were some kind of rare. But that changed more and more, so far that exact that fact has changed to the other side. More cheseres than anything else in these days. The online world when we talk about sports games is fighting and develop strategies against chesers and that is so sick and absourd. Too much to waste my time. Some time ago i was really thinking about quiting gaming because of that, cause i was only a online gamer and havent had fun at all. But when i went a step back and started the first franchise since a long time ago, the joy of gaming came back and thats were im standing now.

Most of the people claim to be threaten as grown ups and responsible humans but do not act like that at all online. Like youve said, when you fighting a match against someone who didnt do dumb things like mentioned, the game is a blast.
