GEEEZZ!!!
I just fought this player on OWC named Kenho-Raoh in the middle weight DIV, HE only threw HAYMAKERS the whole FIGHT! And he never got tired. I figured ok I'm gonna let him punch himself out, so I sticked and moved. I'm up on the card through the 6th. So I figure I'll pressure him Next round cuz I know he's gotta Be tired. BUT HE WASNT! In-fact he knocked me down in the 7th, and almost in the 8th! WTH!! I mean this guy was throwing HAYMAKER combos the whole fight, 3&4 power punches in a ROW sometimes more. He never got tired, in-fact it seemed like he was getting stronger! I finally got the hang of countering the low body jab spam, and now the HAYMAKER SPAM! Mix it in with the auto block counter window, and it makes it Very hard to even throw a punch; towards the end of the fight I didn't even wanna throw a punch. To top it off this guy had a really good record, I'm talking hes gotta to be top 100 in the middle weight DIV, I couldn't believe this guy was getting away with this! He has no boxing skillz whats so ever! I hope EA fixes this. Has anyone encountered this issue yet??xXxDrUnKeN_MaStAxXxTags: None -

Re: GEEEZZ!!!
EA wants their game to be like this.
They figure 90% of their customers are brain-dead 12 year olds who know nothing about boxing and will complain if the game doesn't resemble Tekken.
It's never going to change. The only thing you can do is find friends online who you know will try to fight realistically. Because outside of that, you're never going to get a sim experience from any EA game out there.Comment

Re: GEEEZZ!!!
I disagree that EA wants that. You can not make a game, put it online for the world to play, and not be surprised when people from all ages get in there and play like fools. This is the best boxing game ever made. If you play it right, 90% of the time you will win. In OWC, the key is to give your fighter a chance by making him resistant and able to attack both the head and body. The body is essential if you want to quickly take down the power punch spammers. I'm seeing guys walking like zombies by round 5 because I worked the body as a counter to their power punch. It works.
I think the final proof that this dev team made the game to cater to thinkers is that you are rewarded for keeping your punches limited. If you go in there and trade punches, or try and throw 8 punch combinations all the time, you will quickly lose stamina and health. but give your guy some XP in body shots and watch how easy these guys fall.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: GEEEZZ!!!
I have to disagree. EXAMPLE: Today I fought another guy in OWC who was a high ranked player too, this guy threw 1045 punches @ a 33% connect rate, and 70% of his punches where HAYMAKERS, I threw roughly 450 @ a 55% connect rate. He still was moving around the ring as if it was the first round, also to add with that I was fighting in heavyweight DIV... I trust you will agree that no heavyweight can throw that many punches let alone any boxer in the world (Exception PacMan IDK any others). This guy was averaging about 100 punches a round. Luckily I won, but still this game does not really reward people who try to play the game right. In every game I play I box accordingly. I hit this guy plenty of times to the body, and he never flattened out. Yes I will agree that this game is good, but I feel it has the potential to be great if they fix these issues.
I'm not saying this should be the norm. I agree that stamina still isn't there in terms of punches thrown and landed. I said this before the game was released, but I concern of mine was that punches landed don't take enough stamina away from the guy punching. But I think EA saying they will adjust the amount of stamina regained per round will change a lot.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: GEEEZZ!!!
This isn't me, and I'm not crazy how the guy used the headbutt, but when you see who he fights you can't blame him. His opponent is throwing power shots like crazy. Watch how he counters the body and zaps him of his life.

Re: GEEEZZ!!!
Thats not a very good example clip. Reason being the guy he faced is garbage, I have no Idea how his record was so good lol, and it goes to exactly to what I was talking about. The guy throwing all the body was throwing at least 80 punches a round up until he knocked 'ole boy down. Sorry bra but he should have been a lil gassed too, he was throwing nothing but power shots also. My concern is the stamina plain and simple, and I was throwing body shots to guy I was facing (he was allot better than the guy above) and he lasted for ten rounds, and like I said before his total punch stat was 1045, thats ridiculous! Especially for a heavy weight. But as you said EA said they will fix it so I can't wait for that.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: GEEEZZ!!!
I agree with you. I'm talking exclusively on how to beat the guys that come in with heavy power shots. As I mentioned earlier, punches that land need to have a bigger dip in stamina being taken away. But in talking solely about defeating a power punch spammer, attacking the body works.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: GEEEZZ!!!
I know one thing, I am tired of everytime I go into HW OWC I am fighting a 6-8 88" reach CAB that either runs most of the fight or runs and lunges forward constantly. At least with the second guy I can break his ribs and fold him in half with a counter hook. Guys like RoughTactics, he is in and out stays on the outside, etc., I can respect that, but the pansie Michael Grant running all over the ring women are getting on my nerves and expect ,me to run into their jabs.
When I FINALLY corner then I turn into Ralphie on the Christmas Story, beating the tar out of his ribs - minus all the cussing of course. The last two guys I fought were of this mold. I beat them, but is takes so long and so much out of me that it doesn't seem worth it. I'm not saying stand there and toss punches at me all day (I'll destroy you in two rounds), but don't spend the whole fight like you are running backwards.Comment

Re: GEEEZZ!!!
Now I haven't even gone online yet, but I will say that this game gives too much of an advantage to the outside fighter.
Look at Tyson in his prime, you couldn't get away from him, there was no where to run. In this game, I can take a mediocre outside fighter and get the win if I don't get caught with flash KD or flash KO.
When I play as Tyson, its very hard to get inside. In my Welterweight tournament that I am playing, it is becoming clear that they outside fighter has the advantage. If I am an inside fighter against an outside, I will be lucky to win 2 or 3 rounds, If I am an outside fighter, I can almost whitewash the AI. This is on GOAT.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

I will never get it. I always wonder why but I just don't get what satisfaction someone has in doing things like that in hopes that it'll get them the win. They are spending the same amount of time I am in the fight. How in the world is that satisfying? I just don't get it. even when I was younger, I never played these games at a "ends justifies the means" style. It's crazy.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment
