I notice a certain trend in this game that I can CONFIRM is in the game. Provided that both boxers are equal or near eqaul, if you knock someone down YOUR chances of getting knocked down or out INCREASE! Pay particular attention to this. I notice when I knock the other guy down two distinct things happen. My punch gets just slightly slower AND I'm more susceptible to getting knocked down or out. And this "trigger" stays until you get knocked down. I saw this happening frequently. I then decided that after knocking the guy down I would lay off and wait till next round to do my work. The same trigger stays in effect. It's things like this which will make my decision for future EA game purchases very easy.
One CLEAR example was a fight where I knocked the guy down. Now in his desperation he was swinging wildly. I refrained from throwing any punches except for an occasional jab. I had FULL strength and health and tried to get some counters off his wild swinging. All of a sudden I could see my punches not coming out as sharp as before. The guy then does 4 wild , hitting nothing but air, power shots at me. Not touching me at all. As I supposedly slip the 5th one which at this point is looking softer than a pillow it breaks through my guard and stuns me for half my strength. This is a GAME KILLER in my opinion. I'm pretty much done with this trash.
This game is just for playing arcade boxing among a few friends for laughs.
