On a related note, I think the scoring in this game is seriously screwed up. I have fought opponents who literally spent the second half of a fight (after tasting my power) running the whole round and only throwing the occassional jab and right hand. Even though I am pressing the fight and throwing more punches, they still manage to win the round. Thus, what is a good way to outbox both runners/80 inch reachers?

How to Beat Guys with 80 inch Reach
What are some strategies for beating guys with 80 inch reaches who just back up and jab the whole time and then run from you for the rest of the round? I know that a real life strategy for dealing with runners would be to go to the body, but in this game body work seems to have little effect (though I am hearing that this may have been fixed post patch). Also, every time I try to go down to the body on these fighters, they just back up and it is virtually impossible for me to find range.

Until the fix the boxer movement you're gonna have a hard time doing what needs to be done. But you'd need to cut off the ring and get them in a corner and pound away at them. I've been able to do it sometimes but not always. Sometimes just as I'm getting ready to close in suddenly my guy goes way back giving him room to slip out. -

When they move, side step to cut them off and get in their face. Really pressure them into a corner or against the ropes and gradually do some work. You can also move close to them and quickly step back when they throw so they miss. The step move works great against these guys.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment
