Another concern for offline since the tuner...

I was testing sliders last night to see if I could a magic bullet and enjoy this game again like I did pre-patch.

On the 360, the damage is definitely broken no matter what I do.

But the real problem is that EA a**usted the stamina, but didn't a**ust how the AI will fight. I fought multiple heavyweight fights and the AI had punched themselves out by the 6th round every single time the fight went that far.

In addition to that, in EVERY fight that ended before the 6th round, It took a MINIMUM of 4 knockdowns to get the guy out.

This is very disappointing. Online, its avoid the body spammer until the 7th round then KO them in the 9th or 10th. Offline it appears to be the 1st one to 5 knockdowns wins.

Just like NCAA 11 they overtuned and patched. I don't understand how they didn't notice the same things we did. I'm gonna stop posting, because I have saying the same thing in multiple posts.

I will add they must bring back damage and 1 punch KO with the next update, ASAP.

I hear you wanting to take a break for a while because I'm just beating the same drum, but if its not stated over and over again, the 13 year old body spammers who know longer have to concern themselves with getting KO'd by 1 punch have effectively ruined the series and destroyed offline mode for everybody.

I wonder who EA listens too when they make these decisions. You would think they would have a passion for their game and stand by their product. If people complained on the show that they weren't seeing 3 600 foot HR's hit per game or if someone complained to *** 2K11 that they were missing too many 3pointers and their guys couldn't dunk like the cartoons on *** JAM, I don't think they'd patch in exploits for people who don't know the sport.

You guys are absolutely right. Unfortunately, it doesn't look as if EA is going to patch the game. Also, the 13 year old body spammers are turning out in droves to vote at the poll on EA's website to ensure that EA doesn't return the game to the way it was. I think a lot of them are OSers actually. They want to protect their body spamming/running strategy at all costs and desperately don't want to be 1 punch KOed again.

That's the thing with EA. They always make such buggy games that are released way before they should be (menu freeze in OWC, Weight Class ranking freeze in Offline Legacy, etc.). However, when they make a game that has those occasional bugs but, for the most part, solid gameplay, they always end up releasing a patch that doesn't address the real issues (freezes and crashes) but changes the gameplay for some whiny kids on forums that ends up making the game worse than it was before!

As you pointed out Fistofrage, the problem with EA is that they are such a big company that they try to appeal to way too large of a market. In other words, they try to please everyone. Rather than sticking to their guns, they try to ***er to every whim on a messageboard. As a result, we either get generic games that are insufferably bad, or when EA actually gets it right for a change, a patch that makes the game worse.

EA's slogan should be changed from, "It's in the game" to: "If it's not broke, we'll patch it."

the tuner has truelly messed my experience offline. Its sad because i was truelly enjoying this game.

EA doesent know how to change things correct...they should give us options on the type of changes made. *** 2k did the same thing, but thank god i was able to to just clear the cache to get rid of that patch

i am truelly hurt by this

Cant you just erase your cache and play the game how it was pre-tuner? Thats what I did with ******.

Problem is, some of us bought the extra boxer packs for it. And those won't work without the patch or tuner or 1 of the 2.

If they want to refund me for my DLC, I think that would be an option, but then you can't access the online portion of the game either.

Its really a no-win situation for those of us who liked the damage model and 1 punch KO's pre-patch.

Are you sure the packs dont work pre patch? Ive never had a problem accessing DLC by deleting a patch in the past. Also, all you would have to do is just download the patch each time you want to go online. When you want to play offline., delete the cache.

Sucks we have to do it but it could be a workaround.

There is a video that shows the New Boxers like the Middleweight RJJ freezing.

I pre-ordered from gamestop and got 25,000 XP and the Everlast Anniversary pack so I was very leary of deleting anything in my cache in fear that I may lose those items and my created OWC boxer.

I just want the flash KO's and damage back along with the AI not punching itself out in 6 rounds.

I'll check when I get home with Champion but thinking back to round 4, deleting the cache never caused me to lose purchased boxers or CABs. I delete my cache all the time and it never caused me to lose my CAFs or preordered fighters in UFC Undisputed either.

What exactly does deleting a cache do? Is it specific just to this game or does it remove all patches and tuners for all games?

It removes all patches but every patch can be reinstalled once you play the game again.

I delete my cache all the time because I want to create realistic fighters in UFC and the only way to do that is through a glitch that the first UFC patch ***ed. I just delete my cache, create the fighters that I want and then redownload the patch.

Thats what I thought. I don't want to go through that. I have patches for games like NCAA ********** 2k08 that I don't want to lose. I am not even sure if you can still get this.

If the Demo played like this games does now, I wouldn't have bought it. If I knew they were going to eliminate 1 punch KO's I would not have applied points to opunches to get them to level 20.

If I knew that DLC Boxers would not work if you did not want to use the patch, I would not have bought them either.

With Tax, I have $75+ invested in this game and now it is not the game I bought. They need to put back the features I had or give me a refund(good luck, I know, but on principle, I know I am correct)

I feel your pain. I wanted a refund when I found out the sliders basically were useless and the online sliders just weren't an option for the game. I feel bad for everyone who's having such a bad time now. With the edit's I made the offline game is great for me..
