    Worst Fight Yet in OWC

So I decided to fight on OWC this afternoon even though this game is incredibly broken post-patch. I thought, "I will play three matches" and "What are the chances that I will get cheesers in all three matches?" And guess what? Yep. You guessed it. I ended up fighting body spammers in all three fights.

Well, my third match was the worst fight I have fought yet online. It was the greatest example of how broken this game really is, particularly in the scoring. It was a ten round fight. For the first seven rounds I outlanded my opponent by at least 10 punches in each round (I was mixing it up, going upstairs and down with combinations). My opponent, being the body spammer that he was, stood still at one point of the ring and waited and spammed by body with jabs. Even with all of his body spamming, I was determined not to get sucked into his game so I circled away and backed up with a jab to the head and was able to, as I said, outpunch in each of the first seven rounds. Here is the thing though. Even though I was outpunching him by ten punches and up to twenty punches in some of the rounds, he still won every round. Yep. Every round on the scorecard. But wait. It gets worse.

In the seventh round I managed to time a perfect straight counter as he was coming in and I scored a flash knockdown. He hopped right up at two though, of course. After the knockdown, I went on to outwork him the rest of the round by about 11 punches. 10-8 round for me, right? Well, when the eighth round began Teddy's scorecard flashed on the screen revealing the biggest absurdity yet. My opponent won the round 10-8. Yep. You read that right. Not only did I not get my 10-8 round but I did not even win the round 10-9, which would have been the worst case scenario for a fighter who scores a knockdown. And even more, I didn't lose the round 10-9 but I lost it 10-8!

At that point, knowing I was way behind on the scorecards, and knowing there was no possibility anymore of a 1pko, I just gave up and let him KO me. After it was over, I looked at the screen to see if maybe that was just a fluke on Teddy's card but nope. The judges had all scored it 10-8 for my opponent too.

Has anyone ever experienced anything this crazy before? What was most hilarious about it was after the match, I asked my opponent what his body spamming was all about. Guess what he said? He said that it was good boxing strategy and that because I was stepping back and jabbing that I was cheese.
