    FNC or 4?

    Seeking a useful opinion. I haven't really played a boxing game since...Wayne Gretzky Hockey? I am the very definition of a casual gamer (middle aged, slowed reflexes, limited play time), so I am unlikely to go online much if at all, and I'm more interested in the game being fun and accessible than super realistic.

    From what I've read the career mode in FNC offers what amounts to a lengthy and comprehensive tutorial mode, so that sounds good since I won't really know much about what I'm doing at first. Does FN 4 have a decent intro/tutorial?

    The cost difference is also obviously a factor, why spend the 45 to 60 bucks for FNC if 4 is as much fun? Also, is the online code for FNC a big deal, for example, will I still get patches without it?

    And finally, we have both systems so if x360 or ps3 is better for either title, please advise. Thanks.

    Wait until the next patch comes out for FNC. Right now, in its current state, there isn't enough advantage to FNC to recommend it over FN4.

    If the patch addresses the right issues, it will FNC hands down, if they don't fix the legacy freezing, the lack of 1 punch KO's and the nerfed damage, then I say just buy FN4 on the cheap for your boxing fix.

        No question. I've had problems with FNC but hated FN4.

          FNC is undoubtably the best in the series imo. The realism is there, and any exploits/problems brought up are being fixed by EA. I can tell that they really put time and effort into making this game amazing (can't say the same for other ea franchises). You will LOVE Champion Mode, it really is great in everyway from the plot, to the unique ways of fighting, to the cutscenes. For a casual like yourself, you'll like it even moreso because it sort of acts like a tutorial. Yes people have criticized it for being short (it is), but they have to stop and think about it...Champion Mode is a MODE on the game, not the whole game itself. I don't see how people can criticize it for being short when they didn't buy the game soley for CM. They can also easily not play the mode if they don't like it.

          There is a great cast of boxers (the most in a fight night game so far if i'm not mistaking), legacy mode hasn't really changed from FNR4, but you didn't get that one anyway, so you won't mind. You have online modes if you ever decide to use them, so all in all the game is phenomenal, most definately worth the $60.

                FNC = Secretariat

                FNR4 = Glue and cheap dog food

                FYI, had horses growing up for the PETA's among the OS'ers

                  I agree with the above suggestions of FNC... sometime this summer, when the patch drops, this game will be wonderful. Hopefully, it drops when most of these spammers will be focused on NCAA

                    This.

                    FNC pre-patch=best boxing game I have ever played.

                    FNC post-patch=worse than Don King's Prizefighter.
