Re: Berto vs Ortiz....
I gave Berto one round, even the round with the two KDs he lost IMO.Follow me on Twitter - http://twitter.com/complex219Comment

Re: Berto vs Ortiz....
Ortiz is a good boxer, good skills and nice power. The only issue he had was his heart. Ortiz can even be better than he is now.Follow me on Twitter - http://twitter.com/complex219Comment

Re: Berto vs Ortiz....
I hate to see a young fighter lose, because to many fans will say he always sucked and blah blah blah. Berto will become better from this I believe. Ortiz I think is just realizing how beast he is and I never thought he was weight drained at 140 until ActShaun mentioned it.
Great fight from both guys. I would like to see both boxers have 2 or 3 fights and if they stay undefeated face in what I think would be a good rematch.Comment

Re: Berto vs Ortiz....
What a fight....is it just me, or have we been blessed with unbelieveable bouts the past 2 weeks? I mean, last week with Maidana-Morales, Guerrero-Katsidis, and this fight tonight...I'm worried that I'm getting spoiled here with the embarassment of riches of good bouts.
Berto was very disappointing tonight - but maybe the right analysis is that Ortiz is just really good (and pretty obviously a natural at 147) and coming into his own as a fighter. I don't know if he's at that elite level yet, but he's still a kid and can definitely get there. The sky's the limit, and he seems to have a really good attitude. Also, he appears to have some stage presence/charisma, which can go a long way toward making him a star. I'm definitely rooting for this guy from now on.Comment

Ortiz worked the ribs big time, I'm sure Berto's never faced that before, or any decent pressure guys for that matter.Comment

Re: Berto vs Ortiz....
Crazy action fight. Just watched it off my DVR. Khan looked impressive as well. Watched Juanma vs Salido on Showtime also. I had a feeling Juanma was gonna get stopped by one of those overhand rights, and lo and behold...Comment

Originally posted by Dan RafaelBerto (27-1, 21 KOs), who said he hurt his hand in the second round, spent long stretches in the middle rounds laying on the ropes looking winded and trying to kill time as he looked at the clock on the big video screen in the arena. But Ortiz was aggressive and continued to go after him and forcing him to punch back in the tremendous slugfest.Comment
