Re: Fight Night Champion Title Update #2 Wrapping Up, Some Details Revealed

It's not that stamina is awful. I think they need to drop just a little so that it doesn't regenerate as fast. How it is now is it drops real quick when you throw multiple shots and leaves you very vulnerable. But if they could keep it down a few seconds more, to truly give the sense that you are recovering from being a fool and launching pointless punches, that would greatly help.

But a tuner would address that, not a title update. I'm expecting the inclusion of one punch KOs and frequency of cuts to return in the title update.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

I encourage each of you to fight an aggressive fighter like Manny Pacquiao with 3 minute rounds. Stamina is perfect! All the developers need to do to fix stamina is make online fights 3 minutes per round instead of 2.

Punch numbers right now are inflated with 2 minute rounds, it would seem with 3 minute rounds they would be sky high. I will definitely try it; maybe with 3 minutes some of the free swinging guys will hit the fatigue wall at a more realistic pace.

That's unfortunate. At some point they're just going to have to release something and stick with it, there have been too many patches and tuner sets now. The community is never going to be in agreement as to how the game should be, so they just have to find what they feel is best and leave it. It's not good to drop the stamina, to please the simmers, then just turn right back around and boost it again to please the arcade players. All of these drastic changes, which have been a step forward and then a step back, are pretty frustrating.

Yeah it's bad against the A.I. because everyone throws 100 punches per round, but imagine how it would be online. It would force players to fight realistically or pay the price.

We need 1 minute rounds for better punch numbers, 3 minute rounds for better stamina effects, and 2 minute rounds feels the best as far as fight length...

Speed, punch output, and stamina, for both HUM and CPU, need to be effected by the round length. I'm not sure that this will be addressed in the next update, or any other update for that matter, at this point in the game. We'll see I guess.

I don't think it's worth it for what you'll be getting for it. Wait for this update. If they tweak it right it could be a really good single player game.

this is what i'm hoping for. my life isn't video games. when i have time, 99% of the time, i pop the game in for a quick offline exhibition match...i'm hoping for a nice sim experience after the patch.

I'm hoping so but once I get ncaa it will get very little play.

That's what I did. I got 30 for it at Best Buy just for NCAA 12. I knew it would be longer that the middle of June. Remember the tuner that was twoo weeks past when they said it was coming? The devs, as hard as they work, stalk into the EA forums, leave a quick statement and you don't hear squat for days. When they said the middle of June, I said forget and went to Best Buy. I knew it would be almost July when it actually came out. I defended the devs for a while, but eventually I realized to quit and trade in while I was ahead. I haven't felt this robbed since I bought the first March Madness for the PS2 (with Battier on the cover) and I realized there was no season mode.

I traded two good games for fight night based on the demo and the support the devs promised to give, and neither materialized. The game is so far from the demo (demo didn't freeze, though connect rate was too high) and the devs amount of support is on par with a nearly deadbeat dad. I don't know if I am more mad about the above sentence or the games I lost. Prolly the games.

I hear you although I'm not too excited about NCAA. Gamestop is giving $21 credit for both the 360 and PS3 version of FNC. That's $14 for the game plus a current 50% bump for any console or handheld game. I believe there's an extra 10% for members so that would get it just over $23. Not bad this late in the game.

Best Buy is doing the "buy back" thing now. I'm not sure what the exact values are, but from what I've been reading, they give better deals than gamestop.

That's a good value considering you can find it brand new for $25
