This is what happens when you spend all your money on bling, cars, houses, partying and have too many kids. What is this ? His 4th fight in a row he lost now ?

I guess he figures if Evander and B Hop can still fight, he can too.

Somebody needs to tell him he don't have the speed and reflexes anymore to fight with that hands down style anymore. When you are slow and try to fight that way, you will get lit up. And that is what has been happening to him the past 4 fights.

He needs a career change, become a promoter or trainer or something. If not he going to end up talking funny and not remembering what his kids name are.

Huh?...Too much bling,cars,houses,partying and too many kids?..Exactly how does that equate to him fighting past his prime?..In fact if you knew anything about him you would know that he is actually a grounded individul who keeps to his hometown roots..He has never been known to drink use drugs or indulge in excess partying too my knowledge..In fact he was more comfortable at home **** fighting than being out in public..And as far as too many kids if I can remember correctly he has two boys who might be twins..So 2 is too many?..same thing with his cars and houses since when does that equate to him being knocked out because he is past his prime...he calls himself a good ole country boy and thats exactly the way he lives..I think your comments border on being stereotypical ..I agrree he needs a careeer change but he is a analyst on HBO ..I think he just can't get it out his system for some it's hard to let that constant attention go..Hopefully someone will talk to him and reinforce the fact that he in risk of suffering permanent damage...

According to Dan Rafeal, Roy has tax problems and he only made $500,000 from this fight. Again, I would rather see him ringside on HBO than flat on his face. It hurts too much to see him go out like this.

Roy's liscense needs to be stripped I don't even remember Holyfield getting knocked out cold this many times. The referee should be in trouble for not stepping in before the last two punches. The other fighter could have laid off if he wanted. I've seen Roy lay off plenty of times in his career when he could have finished him because Roy never wanted to permanently injure anybody which is ironic now.

it goes back to what fight announcers were saying during the b-hop fight. Roy relied all on his talent and some skill, but not completely a skilled boxer if that makes sense. Like some has said he got away with alot of bad habits and grand standing that hurts him now.

Completely agree but I think that even if he had mastered his craft as hopkins di he wouldnt last long because the fact is he cant take a punch anymore and it leads me to beleive that he never could but he was so quick and fast that he was never really chin checked until the Tarver fight...But he was crazy to think that he could go up in weight and take the shot of a power puncher at cruiserweight in Russia at that...His legs are shot which keeps him on the ropes in danger range...I just pray he doesnt get seriously hurt..and the fact that he is thinking about not retiring leads me to believe that there is way more to this story...

Roy got knocked down prior to the Tarver fight, Lou De Valle knocked him down in 1998 and RJJ was hurt but he was fast enough to keep De Valle off of him. Roy was also hurt in the first or second round vs RUiz. Ruiz hit him with a shot and you will see his leg buckle but he starts firing back at Ruiz. Frankly, I loved Roy Jones but he could never take punch and I think Floyd could be the same way, his uncle roger was rather chinny, I just think Floyd is a complete fighter whereas Roy had otherworldly talent.

And it's true. Jones never needed any defense because of just how fast he was. As he got older, he never adjusted to his weaknesses, and hoped his strengths would carry him. Sad to see him or any man like this. He needs to stop.

Well, Mayweather at least knows how to tuck his chin and roll with punches. Roy backs straight back, which is a cardinal sin in boxing. You hardly ever see Floyd do that, he backs at an angle and when Floyd has been hurt he was punched while punching Roy just got hit (with the exception of the first Tarver KO).

Roy was already out on his feet when he put his head down. The damage was already done. Watch the tape, his legs froze he was out on his feet!!!

Marq, you are 100% right he would have extended his career and he has never been the same. IF you do the math he weight 205 with 6 or 7% body fat. He dropped form 205 to 174 in 4 months, so he lost 30 pounds BUT he only had 15 pounds of fat on his body. Where did the other 15 pounds come from?????????

With regards to the shot, he took it well but his back knee buckled and if RUiz was any good he prob could have tested Roy a little more. This is the main reaosn why Roy did not fight Evander BUT I think he would have knocked Holyfield out. THe prob Roy is having today is that he is getting KTFO'd by punches he sees (except the first Tarver KO) coming right at him and that is BAD, VERY BAD.
