    Angelo Dundee 1921-2012

One of the greatest trainers in the history of boxing gone at 90. I've been a fan of his and Ali's since 1970.

Two notes of interest in Angelo's career. He was in Jimmy Ellis's corner when Ali fought Ellis in the early 70's and Sugar Ray Leonard and him split over money. Ray elected to pay Dundee a flat fee (I believe $50,000) instead of a percentage of his purse, which would have been much higher. I can't remember if the percentage was 10%.
