Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley: rigged or not rigged?
Yea but I am wondering if it would have been a different story if he had won..Doesn,t matter now he has a money making PPV in his future with Bradley if that's the case..I think he should have ended it when he had the chance Bradley was ready to go and had that look of "What the" in his eyes...I do give him credit for being savy enough to last and be competitive but he clearly lost the fight..I wonder if we will see a different pac for the rematch ...all business and hungry again... There willbe conspracy theories until he knocks him out..lolTHANKS FOR THE TRADE SANDIEGO KEEP RIVERS WE'LL TAKE ELIComment

Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley: rigged or not rigged?
Man I see the opposite. For some reason mybe due to Pacs demeanor, and attitude towards the fight I think that this fight was going to be his swan song and maybe gave hints to Arum that he was going to retire. Pac completely changed his life around and the dedication and hunger at least from the outside looking in was not there. I think the last thing on his mind was a fight with Floyd. Maybe Arum had it rigged so that if Pac does retire he has another cash cow in Bradley who can lay claim to the fact that he beat Pac..it also keeeps titles in house for Arum..Maybe he thought that this would entice Pac to come back in order to beat Bradley wich he already stated will make him alot of money, and then maybe Pac would have the desire to fight Floyd after Floyd runs his mouth..Either way he is guaranteed a title in house, a moneymaking rematch with Pac , or a moneymaking fight with Floyd...Whatever it was the decision was not up to par and reeks of boxing corruption...There is a reason why Teddy Atlas immediately called this decision corrupt and he is on the inside so he should knwo..he has always hinted around about how shady certain promoters and boxing was but for him to put in on blast immediately after the fight knowing the media firestorm it can cause makes me think he knows something..Comment

How long till the Nevada State Athletic Commission re-watched the fight with the judges and make them score the fight infront of them? It's only a matter of time right?Moderator

They need to start releasing the scores after each round...hate that option but with what we saw, unless that happens everything from here on out is questionable.Patrick Mahomes > GodComment

Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley: rigged or not rigged?
I'm not saying the fix is not on but why would boxing want to fix this fight? It makes no sense whatsoever. There is only one fight left in boxing that is a true superfight and most everyone thinks it will eventually happen but by fixing the Pacman fight you have badly harmed the attraction and luster of a Mayweather\Pacman fight.
The permanent harm to that fight is not made up by a Bradley\Pacquiao rematch. The Bradley rematch won't have that many more buys (since most will expect a Pacman victory) than the next Pacquiao fight against any random opponent against the damage caused to the last superfight left in boxing with lost buys to the casual boxing fan.Comment

Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley: rigged or not rigged?
a 71 and 74 year old gave the fight to Bradley. They spoke in their defense:
SpoilerJudges Duane Ford and CJ Ross defended the scores that handed Timothy Bradley a decision over Manny Pacquiao, Saturday (Sunday, PHL time) in Las Vegas, saying Sunday (Monday, PHL time) that they stood by their work.
In separate interviews with Steve Carp of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the two shrugged off CompuBox statistics that had the Filipino ring icon dominating in every field, including total punches landed (34 percent to 19 percent), jabs landed (24 percent to 11 percent), and power punches landed (39 percent to 28 percent).
"I thought Bradley gave Pacquiao a boxing lesson," said the 74-year-old Ford, who had it 115-113 for Bradley. "I thought a lot of the rounds were close. Pacquiao missed a lot of punches and I thought he was throwing wildly."
Ford added, "This isn't American Idol. If I judge for the people, I shouldn't be a judge. I went in with a clear mind and judged each round."
The 71-year-old Roth, the lone voice who gave Pacquiao the win, said, "I'm looking for effective aggressiveness. I thought Pacquiao won a lot of the early rounds, and I thought Bradley came on in the end. That's why I gave Bradley the last three rounds. But I still thought Pacquiao had done enough to win."
Ford has been a Nevada judge since the late 1970s, while Roth started in the early 1980s.
Carp also interviewed Nevada Athletic Commission chairman Skip Avansino, who said, "We had three seasoned professionals working and I don't question their determinations.
"Unless something is brought to your attention that there was improper behavior, we're not going to take any action. I'm not going to second-guess our judges."
Pacquiao's manager, Bob Arum, has made noise that a rematch would be done somewhere other than Nevada, but the Pac-Man himself said he was fine with having more bouts in Las Vegas.
"I prefer to fight in Las Vegas. I love Vegas, especially the MGM. They promoted a lot of my fights here. I prefer to come back here." - AMD, GMA NewsLast edited by JayBee74; 06-10-2012, 09:33 PM.Comment

I don't even like Pacquiao and I felt he dominated the fight. I felt he slaughtered him. Early in the fight I actually started feeling sorry for Bradley as he was clearly in over his head.
I think Max said mid-fight, "this is the difference between a good fighter and a great fighter".
Pacquiao was throwing wildly? Yes. He always does.
The punches that Bradley threw were just slaps to the gloves. I only counted 2 clean hits that Bradley landed in the whole fight. One was a sharp right counterpunch.
They need to completely change the way boxing matches are judged.Comment

Fix or not, the problem here is nothing is corrected and it's just business as usual. The media seems to care, but no one inside the athletic commission, or any agents of change care nor will feel the need to do ANYTHING about it.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment
