You can't win a fight if you don't throw. 2-1 Chavez.

So much for scoring a fight, good win for Chavez.

Andy Lee was about as refreshingly honest as a fighter could be after a disappointing lost. He said he couldn't keep Chavez off of him with the punches he was throwing-translation-Chavez didn't respect his power.

        Spoiler

An entertaining fight for awhile, but as Chavez starting landing those hard body punches you could see Lee wilt.

Chavez is a big middleweight, hits hard, is a very good body puncher, and has a great chin. As brought out by Lampley post fight, how would a natural 154 pounder like Martinez handle him? I've got Sergio but it's a fight I'd like to see.

EDIT:I know there aren't many Kelly Pavlik fans at OS but I'd like to see him fight Chavez at 165.

Impressive win by Jr. Chavez in a "prove-it" bout of sorts....I'm a believer. I think the kid can box, and I think he can give Martinez all he can handle. If not Sergio, then when will we see him square off with Canelo Alvarez? I used to think Canelo was the better prospect of the two, but now I'm not at all sure...

Same here. I didn't really respect JR until that win.
Lee is no joke. JR took his power away from him with all those body shots.

I can't wait for the 15th. That should be a great tilt.

As far as Lee, where does he go from here? I don't know if he'll ever be able to hang with the top dogs at 160. But I don't see him doing much at 168 or 175 either.
Lee could become a very good gate keeper, but I don't know if he'll ever be true champ.

Decent puncher , good chin, just not quite enough of either-a solid Top Tenner.
