I hope not, but considering the sales of FNC, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get a boxing game until next-gen consoles, or ever again.

Fight Night Team to Develop UFC Game; What does this mean for FN?

The development team will be lead by Team and Action Sports General Manager, Dean Richards (Fight Night, NHL, SSX) and Creative Director, Brian Hayes.

Yeah, I think this means FN is done -- at least for this generation of consoles. I really wouldn't be surprised if this meant the end forever -- EA already blamed UFC for killing FNC or something like that already -- this may be the final nail in the coffin.#WashedGamer -

Yeah. Fight Night is done, and that also means that the new UFC game is gonna be an arcade slugfest with terrible footwork."I'm addicted to Video Games, and i chase it with a little OS." -Winston ChurchillComment

Probably, but what if they get the footwork right? Then your thinking, why wasn't this in FightNight?Comment

But while I find the ground game very boring, I'm not going to flame the athletes in MMA.
It takes a crap load of dedication, commitment and brains to compete in that sport.
I prefer boxing and I hope EA gives us a good boxing game next year because I don't think I can buy into a UFC game.Comment

EA and the Fight Night producers are banking that the Fight Night fans follow the Fight Night team to the UFC game. They forgot they left a horrible taste in the fans mouth. The game realism factor was very low to be called a sim. The game had too many glitches and problems.Poe is an advocate for realistic boxing videogames.Comment

Awhile ago, I remember reading that the FN dev team was going to alternate between FN and EA MMA each year. I wouldn't be surprised if the dev team shifts its focus to FN after the UFC game is released.Never surrender, it's all about the faith u got
Don't ever stop, just push it 'til u hit the top
And if you fall, at least u know u gave it your all

FN sequel was due out in early 2013, but I think that's off the shelf now.Comment
