I actually think that game is going to be out this year at launch for both systems. This is a chance of a lifetime to make a great boxing game. With photo-accruare graphics, and blazin animations and physics! Discuss.

Call of Duty publisher's graphics researcher Jorge Jimenez will show off next-generation visuals at conference in March; Pixar also to give talk.

^^ turn to :30 of that video to see the projected graphics of the PS4 if you hadn't seen that already.
That opening piece is what sports games could possibly look like on the PS4. But keep in mind that this could be at the height of that system's power so games might not look that great until after a few years down the road.

^^^ This is what graphics probably will look like in the first year. But hopfully they keep most games clean for fear that people won't want graphics to look so realistic. I'm hoping that won't be a problem.

EA isn't focusing on Fight Night, they bought the UFC licence.

Their next boxing game isn't going to come out until at least late 2014.

I doubt it will be the launch next-gen game, considering that the PS4 is expected to release this holiday.

Yeah, the UFC game is their priority right now. They only have a couple of guys on Fight Night that didn't go work on the UFC project.

Oh, I didn't know that. Actually I remember EA Canada saying they were going to wait 2 years before they make a new game. I just thought they would come out with a Boxing game for the PS4 this year because it's the perfect time to do so. If I remember correctly EA did say they were going to make a UFC game every 2 years as well. They came out with Fight Night Champion in 2011, and that other game, UFC in 2012, I own both games. Well... now it's 2013, so it makes sense for them to make a Boxing game this year, and make UFC in k14. Just wanted to discuss some things about Boxing and videogames.

EA had cancelled their MMA game because THQ UFC had taken Strikeforce and that left them with a bare boned game to work with. Then, this year THQ couldn't keep up with Dana White's demands even though the game sold well. So, EA bought what was left of THQ's contract and they started on the UFC brand.

The group of guys who were working on EA's first MMA game moved on to other projects so this killed their every 2 years plan with Fight Night especially because they put the head producers from Fight Night on the UFC project that was originally done by another group who specialized in MMA.

Write up's and I actually have had communication with EA producers and employees. I used to be an EA Senior Moderator on their Fight Night forums.

New licensed MMA game headed to EA Canada after rights to franchise were acquired from THQ.

EA Sports today announced that the development team behind the upcoming EA Sports UFC is that of the Fight Night franchise. The company began publicly discussing the new UFC series earlier this week with the news that work on it was already underway. The development team is led by GM Dean Richards (Fight Night, NHL, SSX)

alot of the other information I posted about is EA insider or producers direct communication.
