$70 for Crawford-Khan. Too rich for my blood.

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
It seems like it's been a while since there's really been a truly great fight, by my recollection. There have been some good fights scattered over the last few years, but really great, memorable fights? I just don't know. Alvarez-Golovkin (1 and 2) were good not great. Joshua-Klitschko I guess, but that was 2+ years ago now. Other than that, I can't really remember too many really great fights recently.Comment

Last year, Hurd-Lara, Valdez-Quigg and Tanaka-Kimura were corkers.
All three were fights outside of glamour divisions featuring names only known by the hardcore. But they were great fights. Find them on YouTube if you haven't seen them.Xbox Live: pk4425Comment

Manager, promoters and the fighters themselves make sure they avoid the tough fights if at all possible.
Crawford-Spence should have happened a year or two ago. Heck, not too long ago Kell Brooke was a killer at 147. Why haven't, or why didn't, these 3 already have a fight with one another?
If this is 1975, all three of those guys, and Thurman have likely fought each other at least once.Comment

That's exactly what's happening in boxing now. Pathetic. But I still love the sport to the depth of my soul.Xbox Live: pk4425Comment

On another note, Munguia actually struggled against Hogan? Many say Hogan actually won!Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
But 116-112 for Munguia? That judge either is blind, on the take or judged a different fight than what the world saw. Typical boxing.Xbox Live: pk4425Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
That's because the best rarely fight the best. As pk pointed out, there are some dandies out there, but when I think of great, special bouts, I usually think of championship bouts or guys who are in the p4p discussion.

FYI, Brook fought Spence and lost.

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
Didn't see the fight but my guess is that he quit.

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
He basically quit. After the first round he really felt his power. In the 5th and 6th Crawford was destroying his body and he didnt know what to do with Crawford switching stances back and forth. It was beautiful to see how he broke him down. The accidental shot was low but it was more on the side or upper thigh and not a direct shot. Kahn refused to take the full 5 minutes. He just jumped at opportunity to quit. He knew that he was going to be put sleep soon.
