It didn't matter what he did that's not his sport and he's too old to be messing around with this Martial Art form.

At least he would have looked good going down.

Tony Thompson vs. David Price Rematch

It's on Wealth TV this Saturday. It's in England so you're looking at a 3-4 PM start time. First fight, big upset, behind the ear shot:

is wealth TV common? My next boxing show I believe will be simulcast on wealth TV. It's the same day as Canelo vs Floyd but it will start at 6pm Eastern and be done by 9pm

Pretty much. I saw Bute/Grachev this past November. I bought a one month streaming subscription for 99 cents to see the fight. Some cable companies (such as U-Verse) carry the channel.

I'll probably get hooked up again to see the Thompson-Price rematch.

A total stunner. Price knocked Thompson down at the end of the 2nd and was teeing off against him in the 3rd, but Thompson fought back in the 4th. In the 5th Thompson hurt Price with a barrage of punches, and continued his assault in the corner with Price unable to fire back. The ref tried to help Price with a standing 8 count, but there was no response.....TKO win for Thompson.

                1. Thompson has always been underrated. Combine that with being a big southpaw, he is not a guy you just show up and fight. Not only should Price have never fought him at this stage in his career, he never should have opted for an immediate rematch. Massive, massive blunder by Maloney.

                2. Not going to write off Price until he loses to someone else. He has too many skills and losing to a really good awkward southpaw is not a career killer at this stage of his career.

                3. Once again, people have no idea or truly appreciate how good Wladimir is.

Agreed, it would be nice if he had a touch more hand speed but he's a cagey veteran. He gives Wladmir all the credit, but does note that his knees gave him trouble in, I assume, both fights.

He has dismissed Englishman Tyson Fury as a clown, but the obvious next fight for him would be a hefty payday against....Tyson Fury. Fury is probably scared of Thompson.

I have listened to a few interviews with him and have heard nothing but praise for Wlad.

Would love to see Thompson against Fury or Jennings or Scott.

Problem Thompson is going to have now is getting fights.

Julio Cesar Chavez will fight Brian Vera (23-6, 14 KOs) September 7th at the Staples Center. The fight will be at 168. Arum says Chavez is testing 168 to see if he'll stay there, but Chavez says he will go back to 160 after the fight.

                      Miscommunication?

I used to think Vera was a scrub, he is a decent fighter. Chavez is probably too big a step up for him, but I know he will show up and put forth a good effort.

I'm interested to see how JR competes at 168. He was so much bigger than anyone else at 160, fighting against guys close to his same size will show what he's made of.

EDIT: JR says he's going back down to 160 after this, but I wonder how long that will last.
It's quite apparent he has difficulty making weight. But he's smart. I think he'd get killed at 168 once he was forced to fight anyone near the top 10.

What about the English fighter that committed suicide at 35? He fought from 2000-2013 with a record of 13-145 with ZERO KO's. He was knocked out 8 times.
