      If Alvarez gets this decision...
9-3 Bivol. And that might be generous.
      I could see even 10-2.
      Complete domination by Bivol.
      Not even close.

            Looking forward to:
Canelo vs GGG 3 at Super MW

Beterbiev vs Bivol to unify light heavy

In my opinion I don’t think Canelo loses anything taking this chance against Bivol. A good big man usually beats a good smaller guy.

I don’t want the rematch right away for Bivol/Canelo.

I'm not a fan of Alvarez, but I think 175 is too much weight for him to fight at.
              Looked slow, lack of stamina...
I give him credit for stepping up to fight a legit 175 champ.
And big props for him not making any excuses.

So glad the judges didn't rob Bivol of this moment. I was deeply concerned about the possibility of yet another joke of a decision robbing someone of a well deserved victory. Good for Bivol [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]

Unbelievably, if Bivol hadn't won the 12th round it would have been a draw.
Alvarez didn't land double-digits in punches all night and only landed 74 punches total.

I honestly talked myself out of Bivol having a chance including ignoring those betting odds. I concentrated too much on his KO drought and a much greener Joe Smith rattling him at the end of a fight he handily won. I just saw a round by round highlight condensed version of the fight and there weren’t too many choice clips of Canelo. Remember didn’t one judge gave him a draw against Floyd? And then there was the first GGG fight.
EDIT: Did Canelo try any weight/weigh-in tricks like he did against Kovalez?

They mentioned the Mayweather decision last night, lol
                      What a joke.

                      No weight gimmicks at all.
I actually think Canelo would have been better off cutting weight like he was fighting at 168.
The first four rounds he looked competitive.
After that, he was incredibly slow and lethargic.
                      He was too heavy imo.
And to think he was talking about fighting Usyk next year.

                        Re: Boxing Off-Topic

                        Looking ahead to next week:

Jermell Charlo vs Brian Castano at 154 (Jr. MW) - on Showtime

*If I am correct, this is a rematch which many thought Castano won, but the bout was a draw.

*Undercard has Jaron Ennis on it, which many pundits are or were high on.

Gilberto Ramirez (aka Zurdo) vs Dominic Boesel at 175 (LHW) - on DAZN

*I believe this may be a showcase match for Zurdo at 175 for future shots at Bivol, Beterbieve, and or Canelo back at 168 (SMW)

Personally, I will probably watch Charlo/Castano. Catch highlights of the rest of any televised boxing.

When Bivol walked out and all the boo's started raining down on him, he started smiling.
This guy is a killer. He knew.
Then Canelo has an entrance that would make Apollo Creed blush and you get the feeling that something is going to happen.

Bivol's footwork, jab and the smarts to know when to throw more than a 1-2 was beautiful.
At times, after a jab or a 1-2, Canelo was getting ready to counter and then Bivol would throw another jab, or a combo. Kept Alvarez on his heels most of the night.
In many ways, this fight looked an awful lot like the first GGG fight.
Alvarez did tag him with 2 or 3 hard shots, but Bivol took them very well and didn't seem to be phased at all.
The rematch won't be any different. Canelo should stay away.
Bivol has offered to fight at 168. That's a better weight for Alvarez, but considering Bivol walks around at the same weight as Canelo and can easily make 168, I'm not sure the rematch at SPMW would end any differently.

I think pride will produce a rematch but maybe not too soon. It could have been worse-he could have fought Beterbiev.

                                Bivol showing class:

                                Bivol Acknowledges Power
