I'm really looking forward to this one. I liked the way Trout handled Cotto.

I was reading where Alvarez wanted Mayweather to make a stipulation to fight him next.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

              Good luck with that...

Should be a good fight. I expect it will be the first real "prove it" fight for Canelo against still-in-their-prime top flight competition. The kid clearly has all the tools, I just can't be certain about him until he fights outside his comfort zone a bit.

Good video. The fighters are very respectful especially in "fight promotion mode". How much mileage/motivation can Canelo get with the "brother's revenge" factor? Was Trout suppose to let the brother win a couple of rounds?

HBO judge Harold Lederman was quoted as saying, “I hate to say this, but I think Canelo’s going to destroy him. I like Austin Trout, I like Greg Cohen, I like the whole team; but Canelo’s something special. He really is… Canelo is a star.”

you can best believe mayweather (close fight with cotto) will be watching this fight....if canelo destroys trout (who easily handled cotto), this could make things VERY interesting.

I'm still not sold on Canelo yet. I like a lot of the tools he possesses, but he hasn't fought a true 154-lb contender yet.

I think this is a great test for both fighters and Trout has a very legit shot of beating Alvarez.

I like Lederman as a judge but haven't heard too many fight predictions from him. If I didn't know any better I'd say he's betting on the Canelo Alvarez bandwagon.

Pulling for Trout. I think this will be a really good fight. Canelo will be the aggressor and press the action. Trout will need to be slick, avoid and counter, but the pressure will be relentless. If he can hurt Canelo and turn the tide Trout could win an "easy" decision. If he can't and Canelo keeps coming forward dictating the action it will be hard for Trout to get the win IMO.

But I'm going with No Doubt in a split decision.

Good analysis. In some ways, Alvarez reminds me a lot of Felix Trinidad; He comes straight at you and relies on his power and chin. He seems to have good defense and is patient, so he's obviously not a one-dimensional fighter. But it'll be interesting to see how Canelo copes against a slick fighter.

                            I'm expecting a great fight! Can't wait!

i'll be cheering for Trout. i think he has a decent chance if he can force Canelo to respect his power...
