Re: Floyd Mayweather v. Canelo Alvarez 9/14/2013 MGM Grand
Getting KOed like that really changes everything. It's like with Chad Dawson-when Ward beat him (his 168 excuses aside) up it didn't look nearly as bad when Adonis sent him into dreamland. How many top fighters fully recover from a brutal knockout?
That being said Manny's fan betting base wouldn't let it get to 3-1.Comment

Manny is a Top Rank fighter, Floyd hates Bob Arum and Arum hates Floyd. That the reason.Comment

Mayweather is way to smart for this kid, he's gonna out smart and out box this guy easy.
You guys keep talking about power. Judah, Cotto, Hatton, Mosley all had power and you see how they ended up.Last edited by WizardJay; 06-20-2013, 02:44 PM.Comment

I think Floyd wins, but he will be in a fight-for more than 4 rounds.Comment

Wouldn't say guys like Hatton and cotto had "little zest" on their punches.Comment

All good points so far in this thread but to me it's real simple. Canelo hasn't fought anyone this skilled in his career to this point. Good young fighter, absolutely but his skill level is not yet up to par with what he will see in the ring. Canelo has to capitalize on his opportunities, but assuming most here are true boxing fans, you know like I do that he won't have too many chances to do much work against Floyd. Easy Money for Money Mayweather.Comment

Re: Floyd Mayweather v. Canelo Alvarez 9/14/2013 MGM Grand
I am definitely looking forward to this fight without a doubt. I've been a Floyd Fan his whole career because I'm from Michigan and you grow up in Detroit rooting for The Hitman, Lights Out, and The Pretty Boy aka Money May. I know he will win but I feel like he took this fight now which was supposed to be the 3rd or 4th fight in his showtime deal so he could be him before Canelo reaches his potential. Not saying he is scared just think he is smart but it could also be the fact Showtime lost money on the last fight so who knowsCheck out The Real Sloppy Gamers on Youtube

Still can't get over the superlatives that Harold Lederman was laying on Alvarez before the Trout fight. I mean you talk about kissing up. Alvarez hasn't earned that sort of talk...........yet.Comment

The other rumor going is that ShoTime pressured Floyd to fight Alvarez because of the dismal Guerrero fight losses.Comment
