Who is going to invest money into making a boxing game? I made a boxing manager game and just able barely to keep the lights on for the love of the sport. Recently a group did a kickstarter for a boxing game asking for $300k and showed some very nice early screenshots...they got $800 in the end. Pretty sad.

Boxing games are selling and are still popular. There are 3 games doing well. Once is called Title Bout championship Boxing, Real Boxing, and I can't recall the other.

The Kickstarter game you are talking about is called Ring Kings and that's a huge amount for any Kickstarter game. The game is/was a text sim game and you wasn't going to get people to invest much in a Text- sim game especially if the company is unknown. Title Bout Championship Boxing is a successful text sim game because the creator come out of pocket and they have core followers. Speaking to them they want Ring Kings to succeed but they asked for too much without seeing gameplay.

When I spoke to the EA FIGHT NIGHT PRODUCERS they said Fight Night is still in their lineup but The UFC GAME is priority right now. They said fans will have to wait until The UFC is out and they will see what they will do moving forward.
