Title Bout Championship Boxing for PC/Mac & iOS

Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware of Title Bout Championship Boxing, which is available for iPad (Android tablet version coming soon) and PC/Mac/Linux.

    titleboutboxing dot com

The game's database has over 8,000 boxers from all eras. You can recreate past fights, stage "What if?" bouts, and simulate upcoming fights. You can also set sims to run up to 999 times, so you can get a more accurate idea of how a fight would likely turn out by getting rid of the outlier results.

When you sim fights, you can watch them play out, complete with semi-animated boxers, running commentary, crowd noise, and ring girls who parade between rounds.

You can also set up tournaments and fight cards, and there are tons of stats. You can start a boxing universe and have fighters go at it for various division titles.

A career management function will be coming to the next version of the game.

Raczilla let me know what you think after playing this. The original owners wanted to work with Brizzo and them when they were in Chicago. I wish the Fight Night series was as deep as this Text-Sim is; it would open the doors for a wider fan base.

I'd rather watch grass grow. I'm not tempted even for $9.99.

I mean, what do you do? What's your input other then to start a bout?

I got it for 2 bucks for my I-Pad.

bascially you can create tournaments and fight cards.....bet on the fights as well with pretend money. The only thing you can do between rounds is change the fighters strategy (Fight inside, go for knockout, take round off etc).

It is purely a sim. Like the board game Title Bout (which is far better and much more fun) but for 2 bucks....I can pass time when I am on the can.

I already set up a legends heavyweight tourny with 16 fighters. If your a boxing historian and like do watch results and stats....it can be fun.

I prefer playing Fight Night 4 though. That game is still loads of fun for me. Going to start a new legacy mode with Rocky Balboa.

Yeah, I'm still hoping for a Title Bout Championship Boxing mixed with Fight Night type game.

Yeah could you imagine the depth of Title Bout with the playability of FN4? Wow....that would be the boxing fans dream. I am a huge fan of boxing from the 70's,80's and early 90's. I lost touch with the sport this past decade...still follow the major cards...but nothing like I used to.

Now's probably a great time to start really following it again. Boxing is thriving lately. We've had some great fights overall in the past few years, along with great fighters. Of course you have your mayweather and pacquiao. But there's a lot of talented up and comers like danny garcia, mikey garcia, Andre Ward, Gennady Golovkin, Rigos, Rigondeaux. Canelo Alvarez, Adonis stevonson, Timothy Bradley, etc. But you also have interesting things like Bhop continuing to fight and dominating as the oldest boxer ever, how will broner fight after his loss, will ward move up to light heavy weight for more competition or maybe fight Golovkin etc. Boxing is alive and well.

Thanks, I'm just now getting acquainted with text sims and surprisingly I find them to be a ton of fun.

At some point I think some of these sports game developers need to realize that closing the gap between the pc gaming crowd and the console crowd is a more than viable strategy.

I see the "hardcore" gamer vs. "casual" gamer referenced frequently on the forum and I just don't believe that the hardcore gamer is some fringe representation of the gaming industry. At least not if the members of this forum are considered "hardcore". The type of gamer we find frequenting this forum is exactly the type of gamer that should be the target audience when creating these sports titles.

The problem with me is that i really can't stand text sims, especially for sports. I want realistic results, but i like to get them through realistic gameplay. Gameplay is first and foremost with me. Although it does sound like this game pays a lot of attention to detail(something FNC and FN4 could of used)
