If this post fight news report is right Wilder said he wants to fight Tyson Fury next, and Klitschko before the end of the year.

know it sounds funny, but it's true imo. think about this: Wilder reminds me of a younger version of the older version of George Foreman haha! think about it....stand tall, straight left jab, straight right. stand tall, repeat....

I agree and I think he needs a little more weight to come close to that kind of power. Also..we need a new fight night badly.

He's really to thin to remind me of George. Foreman's jab was more offensive in nature and his punches were more looping. He also doesn't come close to Deontay's hand speed. Wilder still reminds me of a heavyweight version of a welterweight Tommy Hearns.

Plus in this fight anyway, Wilder wasn't the one advancing. Young George was always the pressure applier.

EDIT: Thought you meant young George, but I still don't see that in Wilder. The older George had even slower hands, was more deliberate, more relaxed, but still threw looping punches. Even his left jab-right cross combo many times produced a looping right hand.

I would still like to see him fight loud mouth, obnoxious Fury.

He needs MUCH thicker legs/base to dance with vlad imo

^I don't think his legs are what will give him problems against klitchko. It would be interesting to see klitchko fight a guy like wilder who has athleticism and actually a height advantage.

This was a good fight.I was impressed with wilder's jab, i hadn't seen him throw it like that, he boxed smart and effectively, and showed he's more than just power and athleticism. I liked how he realized stiverene was trying to counter him and was always aware of his left hook. Yeah he ate some, but a lot of times he would throw a few punches and immediately pull back to avoid the hook because he knew stiverne was trying to counter him. Stiverne is tough though, gotta give him props, his chin is iron.

Counter hooks or lunging hooks were all Stiverne tried in this fight. He was out jabbed 120-38. Wilder's team had to weigh the Austin fight in using the jab, but Stiverne seemed to consciously eat them in trying to get inside. Many times his hooks fell ridiculously short.

nor did he pull the trigger on the inside when he was there on several occasions. Despite what actually happened I think if Stiverne cut the ring off a bit more and unleashed in some other spots it would have been much closer. Stiverne actually hurt Wilder with some body shots as well and I'm not even sure HE noticed! To me it was clear as day, those arms came down pretty quick!

Credit to Wilder though, he won outright and hurt Stiverne as well and will pose at least an exciting threat to Wlad. Those legs are a problem though taking heavyweight shots to the body and head and for throwing hooks and uppercuts and I see that as a big problem against Wlad. He will get hit a lot more and those legs may start to wobble!

The legs have something to do with taking a punch, but sometimes you either have it or you don't. Saw him get stopped in the amateurs, but I'm not sure when it happened. My total hunch is that he doesn't take a great shot, but that and $2 could buy you a cup of coffee.

Meantime after the fight Tyson Fury called Wilder a hype job and said he won't fight him until he squares off with Wladimir, even though that fight hasn't been made yet. Fury is trying to score a big payday, plain and simple.

That was a fight every one was looking for but at last it became one sided game. Really shocking and amazing although Wilder played through pain in their fight but successfully hide his emotions till his victory.
