Promoter Eddie Hearn's hints at a boxing videogame
I hope this means we will see something at E3 or in the near future in regards to a boxing videogame. Eddie Hearn's tweet has gotten the boxing and gaming worlds attention.Last edited by SHAKYR; 05-09-2017, 01:26 PM.Poe is an advocate for realistic boxing videogames. -

There was a game producer trying to piggyback the post to put his game out there. I told him no one is going to invest in a stand alone boxing SIM game. If it was part of a career mode with player controlled fully functional graphics boxers yes.Poe is an advocate for realistic boxing videogames.Comment

I would never doubt Hearn.
Dude knows exactly what he is doing and one of the few in combat sports.Comment

If you mean the team behind Boxing Promoter then people are willing to invest, its in beta now and will be coming out on iOS and Android very soon. The more boxing games the better I say.Comment

Re: Promoter Eddie Hearn's hints at a boxing videogame
i believe with that tremendous joshua-klitschko fight and the 80,000 plus at wembley in attendance, it might not be a bad idea to work on something for consoles but please make sure it is much better than don king's prizefighter a few years back. i would venture to say joshua is marketable enough to carry a new boxing title as well. it would sell in the UK, that's for sure.Comment

We don't have a boxing game because EA is being stingy with their resources and other companies are sort of scared to put anything out that will compete with EA past efforts.Poe is an advocate for realistic boxing videogames.Comment

The casual and UFC/MMA Fans would have people believe boxing is doing well in America but the pay per views and amateur boxing scene alone is doing great. America just doesn't dominate with titles.

Re: Promoter Eddie Hearn's hints at a boxing videogame
If they can get a developer on board I'd be more excited.
But I fear the same issues with getting fighters to sign up will be an issue.
However, it would be awesome if a promoter backed video game might have a promoter/universe mode that I've been begging for in the UFC game for years.
Sign prospects, build up fights, generate revenue. The mode could potentially be the selling point of the game more so than the roster if you build around that.

Re: Promoter Eddie Hearn's hints at a boxing videogame
I think an Eddie Hearn backed game could actually get a significant amount of boxers, especially if it can be factored into DAZN or Matchroom contracts. Maybe a Golden Boy DLC?
The issue is, I highly doubt any PBC or Top Rank fighters would be able to sign. But I'm willing to take that over a game with 30 legends and 20 current boxers like Fight Night Champion.
