Playing that game with the boxing mechanics leads me to believe that if EA made a boxing game today it would be fantastic.

Do they still have a "strike only" mode? If so do they an online multiplayer for that mode?

There is a strike only mode but its offline only.

would there be ANY chance EA release a UFC/Boxing game with both sports represented?.....just thinking outside of the box.

Not so fast, my friend. There's a small chance if Dana White ever gets involved in boxing promotion, as he has hinted.

Mayweather's rumored foray into MMA also might increase the chances a teeny, tiny bit.

Hey, Boxing vs. MMA could be the combat sports game equivalent of the MX vs. ATV series!

I just dont see it happening. I think the Zuffa Boxing thing is just Dana talking out of his *** which he does all the time.

I dont see him committing to competing with Haymon, Top Rank and GB.

True. Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Sports USA could be the next big American boxing promoter. Matchroom rules the promotional game in the UK, where the sport is VERY popular these days.
