Re: Fight Night Champion Added to the Xbox One Backward Compatibility Library

Anyone know how to download the bare knuckle mode and fighter packs?

I originally paid for them years ago but they wont appear even though the boxes are ticked, I've tried redownloading them and it says they will be on the game management but they dont show?

    Any ideas..?

I was waiting for this long time....

Anybody knows a workaround to the painful imported CAB glitch in legacy mode ?

Unfortunately you cannot import created fighters into legacy mode without freeze .

Im my opinion the best feature of FNC Legacy mode.

I am testing if makina new CAB or starting with a real one makes a difference.

Yes, I was on last night and saw the same. I don't like to compare the two sports, but in EA's case, they clearly went with UFC over boxing, so there will be this debate on which should exist. I say they both can. EA's spending philosophy would dictate the possibility of that potentiality. I don't know that they believe developing the two would be beneficial for their profit.

Boxing translates so much better than MMA gameplay wise however not only is the gameplay better BUT the fact that the Legacy mode from 7yrs ago pisses all over UFC 3's is quite telling, these Ultimate Team modes have pretty much put a halt to progress in these career modes in various sports games.

I had 3 good fights last night. In all 3 i used Lara. I won a unanimous decision in the first fight. The second fight i knocked Cotto out and tye 3rd fight i ran into a dude using Sugar Ray Robinson. He just walked right through everything i tried to do. He knocked me out. Now i remember why i loved that game. I could have played all night but would have been no good at work today.

I hear you. I played a few last night and again was reminded of how tough online can be. If you get a guy that comes strong, it is very hard to get to the later rounds, but if you do you can count on their stamina being depleted enough to where you can win. Nothing like beating an over aggressive Tyson in the 8th because he is all but drained.

I took an L last night for that very reason. I was Shane Mosley fighting against Sugar Ray Leonard and the guy was just swarming me. He threw twice as many punches as me even though I doubled him up in power punches and counters. He never landed anything terribly powerful and I was blocking the majority of the combos. I was thinking I'd just wait him out while picking and choosing my shots early on. Eventually my guy was just hurt out of nowhere and going down twice in the 5th round.

I would say that is an unbalanced piece to this game. Guys don't really start to get taxed on stamina until around the 4th. But, they can deal so much damage before then. If you can make them miss, it is so rewarding in the later rounds. It is very difficult against seasoned, aggressive fighters.

I try and move around the ring, moving my feet more than shifting my body, because that takes stamina. I circle the ring and try and stay in the center. One of my favorite things to do is get a guy tired and then jab him in the later rounds. 7th, 8th and 9th rounds are when I really see things shifting to my advantage.

Any recommendations for CABs? There's somebody named REAL BOXING IQ that has great CABs. Was wondering if any of you have some recommendations for top creators out there.

Tbh they probably only went with UFC cuz of their rise in popularity in recent yrs, while boxing had been on a bit of the decline. They would need to find another team to work on a FN game also, since the FN team is doing UFC now. But they are EA "sports" right? They should have both games. And I feel a boxing game would probably do better in sales than UFC games just cuz it's more accessible to the casual audience. I mean how are the number of players online for a 7 yr old FN game even close to UFC's? That means ppl are going out and picking up the game.

I think EA has their eyes on these things. It’s def a good sign. I think getting the license for current and past fighters is such a pain in the arse as opposed to just having to sign UFC and getting total control. UFC games in my opinion just don’t translate as well..way too much going on. Fingers crossed

I think boxing is in a good place to make a comeback. I think ESPN boxing is helping boost the popularity because they are showing some really good fights. Also, i happen to believe this was a calculated move by EA to gauge interest. Having as many people online playing this game as UFC 3 shows there is a market for it. Count me among the ones who believe we will have a boxing game in the future.

One can only hope man...it's been a long time. But yh there definitely is a market for a boxing game just like there is mma.

If fighters and promoters were smart, they’d realize the huge benefit their fighters/promotion co. would receive by being in the game. Even if it was for free. It’s basically free marketing and promotion for a dying sport. I truly believe that FIFA video game was instrumental in helping bring a younger generation of Americans into soccer.

That reminds me of when Michael Corleone was talking about Hyman Roth dying from the same heart attack for the last twenty years.

I love it when non-boxing fans opine about the sport's critical state.
