    (Interview) Cryptoboxers

    "Crypto Boxers"
I did a short interview with manager and consultant for Yahu Blackwell, who is named the World Boxing Union (WBU) novice world champion. He has compiled a record of 15-0 in the International Boxing League (IBL). The Nigerian boxer was raised and still resides in Baltimore, MD; known as “The People’s Champion.”
Crypto Boxers also features and is support by Hall of Fame and legendary referee Joe “Mr. Fair But Firm” Cortez

How's it going? I'm the Owner of the Boxing Videogame Wishlist Site and Boxing Videogame Wishlist Podcast?

I'm a huge boxing fan and gamer. I actually was a decorated amateur boxer and had 3 pro fights. Ok, so let's talk about this game that got my attention because it's a similar idea that I have been talking about for years and to me it's a great idea that could work.

Now, Could you please tell gamers and boxing fans your name.

Mr. Gilliam: (Yahu Blackwell’s manager and consultant Andrew Gilliam) Mr. Gilliam I am the manager of the Crypto Boxers project.

1.Why did you guys name the game Cryptoboxers?

Mr. Gilliam: It was originally named "The People's Champ"; but entering crypto space we thought the name made more sense for the space.

    2. Could you tell fans about this company and its experience in making games?

Mr. Gilliam: Well we have worked with many projects as individuals but teamed up with only people of passion in gaming and the skills to make sure its fully action packed. And we are working with a top tech company soon to be named in a press release.

    3. What kind of game is this going to be?

Mr. Gilliam: A boxing game on blockchain technology but full of professional boxers men n women

    4. Will it be similar to a 3D graphics fighting game like the Knockout Kings and Fight Night series?

Mr. Gilliam: Yes but way better with gaming tournaments with real prizes and etc..... cant give it all away yet.

5.What demographic and age group(s) are you focus on?

Mr. Gilliam: From teens till the oldest gaming and boxing fans.

    6. What gaming systems can we expect this on?

Mr. Gilliam: Its on Blockchain starting on desktop and then mobile.

8.Roughly how many boxers have you contacted and how many signed on to this idea?

Mr. Gilliam: So far we have over 100 boxers signed and ready to be made 3d characters to be placed in the game.

    9. As a passionate boxing fan and gamer should I be excited or just experience the ride and take it from there?

Mr. Gilliam: You should be extremely excited. Not only cause it's the best boxing game that you can win real stuff from but we are also willing to take criticism to make it even more awesome for the fans. Cause that's the reason why we did the game in the first place we all are fans of boxing and all of us are gamers at heart.

    10. Is there anything else you want to tell fans that should support this game and buy it.

Mr. Gilliam : First you dont have to buy the game. Just the boxer of your choice. And you can build that character up and win prizes and cash. Also you can trade boxers and make money from trades. Depending on the value of the boxer. But I am 100% sure this game is going to be the john Madden NFL of the boxing game community.

Thanks for this short interview but a interview was needed badly to get some insight on this game "Crypto Boxers"
Crypto Boxers is looking to launch this summer.

    Re: (Interview) Cryptoboxers

    Here is my problem:

Shakyr you asked all the right questions. They didnt provide any of the right answers:

    - Gilliam's answer about his past experience was vague. "Worked with many companies and a top tech company is working with them"?
    - He confirmed that the game wont be a console game.
    - Its not even clear that they have started development on the game. They say they have 100 boxers signed but they arent willing to provide any names and none of them have been scanned into the game. Which makes it weird that they say the game is going to be released this summer.

It sounds like vaporware to me.

I'll have to agree especially when asked about E3. The manager doesn't mind communicating with me but I'm sure if he did tell me something major he wouldn't want me to repeat it yet.

I'm skeptical and still stand behind CrypticBoxers as being the more apt title.

Mr. Gilliam: From teens till the oldest gaming and boxing fans.

So if it appeals to gaming fans are stick skills involved?

I work a lot with Publicly traded companies - and this all just stinks of 'buzz' words.

Blockchain? Really?... you need warehouses full of computers for your tiny undeveloped game?

It sounds like a gambling play - I don't see how you make a quality boxing game in terms of animation and gameplay AT ALL unless you have a healthy budget and staff. I'll check out a gameplay video, but I will be highly critical.

I agree and feel the same way. I'm watching how this unfolds.

Sorry, but this game sounds like complete horsesh*t. Blockchain? No console release? You only have to buy a boxer and not the game?

I'm trying to be optimistic especially in our 8 year drought of not having a true next-generation boxing videogame.

Seems like possible boxing games (or illusions) have gone up lately:

Dang y'all be wanting to kill the messenger if they don't have EA or 2K in their title. I was just bringing news of a few boxing games on this forum for fans of the sport to look out for. I'm a passion fan and anyone who know the POETICDRINK2U name know what kind of games I want and support.
