Companies are moving to faze out modes they can't monetize. Are fans going to accept this or be outspoken about having options.
What's your thoughts on videogame companies moving away from season, franchise, and single player modes because they can't monetize them?

"Competitive Gaming" significantly damaged sports game. All the money is in competitive gaming. Loot boxes, balance, ultimate team packs, etc.

Its steered games away from sim and towards competitive balance. Sports doesn't have competitive balance. Teams are more talented than others, fighters more talented than others, etc.

In shooters like call of duty, I can understand. But sports going down this path will only continue. At the end of the day, game companies exist to maximize profits, not provide the best experience for gamers.
