    Hands-on Prview at Team X-box

    Good Read. http://previews.teamxbox.com/xbox/94...ht-Round-2/p1/
    Note to Tiburon Marketing:

A great product sells itself, no "back of the box" features required! (See Fifa...)

Well, I glanced over the hands on and there are some scary things mentioned. Most noticeably they said boxing fans don't want to go the distance so expect a ton of knockdowns and knockouts....Great(Sarcasm)

The second thing I really don't like is the Dungeons and Dragons meets boxing concept. It said you can buy special gloves to help knockout opponents easier...In my dungeon and dragons nerd days, these were called gauntlets of ogre power...+2 attack on a d20.

They also said special mouth guards that will prevent knockouts...Great my little hobbit boxer will purchase his mythril mouthguard so the cave troll can't kill him.

Hopefully, its no worse than last year because I had alot of fights go the distance in last years game, I was just hoping their be a little more sim feel to the game.

I was excited about this game but I have been troubled by almost everything I have read about it this week. That, coupled with my enjoyment of WE8, the fact that all the Baseball games are coming out the same day, and the fact that I got bored with Fight Night last year in about 3 - 4 weeks means that I will probably pick this one up later in the year after the inevitable price drop. From everything I've read this game became more arcade, not more sim, and that's really not what I was looking for from a boxing game. If I want arcade I'll fire up Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!

I think they had to do something with the purchasing of new gear. last year buying new gloves was incredibly borring because they did nothing more than look different.

I do think the one thing they should have added is the ability to buy TRAINING gear. This way they could justify the attribute boosts other than some magical glove. If you bought better training gear (that you could actually go and play the mini game with) you could improve your stats easier.

Also I would like to see the ability to own a gym and purchase equipment for that. Then you could retire your main boxer and train your new up and coming fighter in that gym. Your old fighter could be the mentor for the new guy and be incorporated in the story.

I know there are a lot of things wrong with the new wrestling games out there but I do like the fact that there are storys that go along with the career mode.

yea i wouldnt mind seeing a story line built up, not so much with the cornyness of wrestling games but just to hype up the matches and make them more intense.
