    Played the demo again (insight)

I just played the demo again and came to some conclusions. Ultimately Fight Night will be as realistic as you make it, in terms of actual boxing. If you want to have a street fight, you can, if you want to box, you most certainly can. The thing I like best about how it is setup is that everybody will have their own particular style in how they fight and like real boxing; styles not only make fights, they win them. The "haymaker" is going make a drastic difference in fights. How one uses the "haymaker" feature could win and lose them the match. Falling in love with it will cause you to get smacked around by a good boxer who knows how to pick his shots. Just now while I was playing the demo, I controlled Hopkins, I was able to control the "power" punching computer (yes its probably on easy but it still demonstrates my point) by almost mimicking how Hopkins out dueled Eastman. I would slip in with a quick jab than hop back out, thanks to the new controls which allow people to stick and move. As I did this I noticed the computer falling into a slight pattern in that Robinson would **** his left hand back a little looking for a haymaker but never let it go because I was out of reach.

Just a jab here and there and maybe a straight right might win me the scorecards, but I wanted to do sufficient damage as to not just run away. So what I did was slip in and throws a jab which connected and then blocked his left "haymaker" hook, which are not hard to spot if you are controlled, and countered with two nice right hooks of my own. I was able to do this once more and than the computer picked up what I was doing and started to mix it up a little. Yet I was now dictating the fight and it was truly beautiful to see. I won via unanimous decision and most of my punches where either a jab or a straight right, both of which seem to have been improved in terms of effectiveness.

XBOX Live hopefully will run smoothly so that everybody can show why their style is most effective. It will certainly be fun to whoop the "haymaker" friendly people who know little about boxing and believe that they can take advantage of cocking back their punch and walking around the ring. "Haymakers" can be blocked, and quite easily when not thrown in combination, countering a "haymaker" with a well timed block and a counter of your own is a thing of beauty.

Can't wait to play everybody online when we all know how to utilize the new controls, till then and I am back to playing some more MVP.

By the way if anybody likes MMA (Mixed Martial Arts; UFC) check out Pride tonight on Pay-Per View at 10:00 PM EST, it's should be great like all Pride events are.
