New punching mechanics, tracking and physics looks promising.

Launching a "boxing simulation" without clinching is like launching a first person shooter without the ability to throw grenades. Also launching with no ref in the ring yet? This soured things a lot for me.

Sounds like the game should still be early access, not "launching" on multiple platforms.

It's crazy to me that NCAA College Football is finna come out 'On Console' and this game is still dragging there feet for a console release.

All hype is gone for this on console I believe, they might as well, just make it a pc exclusive and call it a day.
I stream a variety of video games for relaxation and fun.

EA is a massive corporation with way more resources than an upstart SCI developer. Also, no doubt NCAA is going to copy a ton of existing code from Madden. This is apples and oranges by comparison.

Undisputed is a true ground up build, that was started with a handful of coders. Growing in size as the game grows.

And thats a problem in my opinion. I would have preferred a smaller scale game that was polished. The scale of the game should not have changed but it did as they grew more ambitious

Instead we get an upstart studio aiming for a AAA release and so the game lacks polish and key expected features.

                    Exactly.

This has been my main source of frustration with the Early Access. I thought they understood, the most important thing is get the gameplay right and polished. Everything else can come later, especially padding the roster which everyone knows is a pain point for boxing games.

We only had ONE UPDATE in a year and a half of Early Access that has added to the gameplay, all the other updates were just slider tweaks that addressed nothing. Now they're telling us, all those gameplay changes you guys were asking for will be in the launch build, trust me bro.

The fact we still don't have clinching and basic presentation things like robes and a ref in the ring just adds to the frustration here.

Did you look at the video? Pretty much everything we've been asking for is fixed, its right there in the video lol.

Looks better. Will have to get hands on to form a final opinion. Punches were dreadful, so hope the new ones fix that, but a video will never tell. Never assume things are “fixed” until you are hands on with it.

The video proves nothing. Previous videos they released for updates during early access got everyone excited that this or that was fixed. Then, that was not the case. Perhaps the issues are fixed, and I hope they are. But even if they fix some punching animations, the game still lacks in several areas.
