May have seen the worst 2 fights ever...

    1. Dominick "the Southern Disaster" Guinn and a Nigerian tomatoe can fought to a 10 round majority draw on Friday night. 130 total punches landed in that fight. Some rounds were like 5-3 or 4-4 punches landed. Honestly words cannot describe how painful this fight was to watch. John Ruiz fights look like whirlwinds of action compared to these clowns. Guinn's career is pretty much over.

    2. Wlad Klitschko KO'd a Cuban fighter in 5 on a punch that I honestly believe would not have knocked me down. Klitschko was afraid to let his right hand go because I think he fears his crystal jaw could get exposed. The cuban threw a few jabs here and there and covered up mostly against the ropes. It almost looked like a fix to get Wlad the win. It was pretty fishy that the cuban didn't at least stick and move. Wlad will get pummeled by any boxer that charges him and gets inside. Sad to say that even Peter McNeely would put him in a "Cocoon of Horror" (Sorry I just loved that quote leading up to the Tyson v. McNeely fight). It will be interesting(for lack of a better word) to see his next fight.

I watched the Guinn fight and after a long day of work I was struggling to stay awake. It was very boring, and I loved the fact that the judges gave them a draw. Neither deserved a win. I liked the undercard fights though. Jason Litzau looked very good.

I don't think Vlad is a player in the division. As you said, he needs to demonstrate that he can take a punch to the noggin. I just don't see it happenening though. Some journeyman that isn't afraid of him wiill get him KTFO again.

The Klitschko fight was absolutely gut-wrenching. Wlad isn't ready. His Win # is inflated if he's been having fights like the one last night.

The Heavyweight division is in a sad, sad state.

So it would be safe to assume that if Klitschko's next fight is against Ruiz it won't be a classic. Talk about losing your nerve, ever since he got pounded by Sanders he's fighting like his opponent's using a cattle prod.

I don't know why Tyson wouldn't go after Klitschko. He could get a good payday and fight somebody he could actually beat.

Klitschko did exactly what he should be doing, taking his time, picking his shots and working off the jab. He could be throwing more right hands and putting his punches together more often but that's it. He's learning to fight like a big man and that's what he needs to do. Of course this fight doesn't mean much since he was fighting a guy that didn't throw back but it's still a good confidence builder for him.

You could get the same confidence sparring. Once he fights somebody who decides to punch he's toast. It happens to some fighters that once they've been knocked out they're never the same, like Roy Jones and George Foreman in the 70's . They lose that cockiness and confidence and fight scared and are never the same. Even Marvin Hagler (although Leonard didn't knock him out) couldn't get it back once he lost.

Oh I agree, he's done. You'd have to be a moron to pick him to beat anybody with power at this point. He defianately wouldn't beat his brother, that's for damn sure.

True, but I was encouraged by watching a very good fight between Jameel McCline and Calvin Brock. Brock survived a 7th round knockdown to win a unnanimous decision despite giving away almost 50 lbs. Lots of punches thrown for heavys.

Looks like Calvin Brock is the real deal.

Brock is nice, his weight may play against him one day but he is very skilled.
