    Impressed!

So I guess your opinion will change with the next footage?

You could say I bought into the ea hype machine until the latest trailer. Yeah, it looked good until they showed a little bit more.

Do you wonder why they won't show a full fight? Surely with the footage already shown, they could at least give us a round?

They won't though, because it's not going to play a good as it looks in those screens...

Note: The same happened with NBA Live 14. What happened to the graphics from the earlier footage/screens compared to the retail version?
...we held several meetings to discuss the future of the franchise. After going through those meetings, it became very clear that the vision I had for the game was different from where the leadership wanted to take it. I parted ways with EA shortly after...

No because the game comes out in 2 months. If it was June 1st and we hadnt seen a full fight, I would worry.

I think this game is going to disappoint, but not because it's might be a port of EA MMA. That was a pretty good game, all things considered.

If this game was EA MMA 2 with a UFC License, more ground positions and better graphics....I would be happy as hell. Maybe my expectations are too low.

To me, it just seems like they've mailed it in a bit. Every positive has a negative right with it. Have women in the game, but you can't make them. Limited CAF abilities (I believe I saw that? No excuse for this one). Only a 100 or so fighters in the game, but you waste a spot on Bruce Lee so the game can sell more copies. No CAF Share, his excuse for this one is horse****. I'm sure it doesn't have the online fight card thing that EA MMA had which was one of the best things about the game imo.

I could be wrong on this part, but from the little gameplay we've seen it seems like things are going to be over emphasized, like guys heads getting knocked back from punches/kicks. I'm not going to make this out saying the game is going to be terrible though, because we've seen almost nothing. Anybody trying to say something conclusive (either bad or good) from the little footage we've is talking out of their ***.

I hope I'm wrong and that this game is amazing.

I'm only speaking for myself, so i'm not downplaying your concerns...... But none of those "negatives" that you mentioned are even close to something that would make me not buy the game. It's great that women are in the game but the majority of my time will be spent with the men's roster. And while it is unfortunate that there will only be roughly 100 fighters in the game, there will be DLC and the ability to create fighters. Not having CAF share sucks but I understand why it's not in. Regardless of what we may think, if they are at risk of legal issues, than it's most definitely not worth the risk on their end.

From what I have seen, I think the game will be pretty awesome and i'm not talking out of my a**. That's just an honest opinion. The images that have been released look amazing and the videos have been great as well. The videos that have been shown are trailers or highlight videos. They aren't going to show you a bunch of clips that aren't exciting and don't emphasize the overall look and appeal of the game.

I understand everything you are saying, but I think this game turns out to be one of the best in awhile. If I am wrong, I will gladly be the first one to admit it.

Re: Why EA Sports UFC is a port of MMA

It is quite naive to expect this game to be some groundbreaking MMA game where things are slightly imperfect. What they will focus on is visuals and the attempt at making the game fun and playable.

Its EA. They'll advertise features no one will ever see and then take them out and add them back in five times

I want to apologize for what I said in my initial post. This isn't a port at all. It's nothing like UFC 3 or MMA. It'd worse... why didn't I see this before? It's EA. They'll neve deliver anything remotely realistic.

Seriously, the game isn't perfect, but he acting like it is the most broken piece of garbage to ever be released.

My suggestion is to not buy it if you don't like it.
