I know and I was playing unranked when it come out. And yeah you do get the odd different fighter but it's generally the same. The lack of lobbies in unranked is an issue imho, makes rematches harder etc.

Re: Are People Losing Interest Already?

I took about a week off, but played a couple online matches last night. I didn't expect to play much online when I purchased the game, but I have found online to be 100x more fun that Career Mode. I'll credit this to the Belt System, which helps match players by skill level.

I would of joined a league, but I am at a point where I don't want to have to play a game on a schedule. If I'm in the mood to play, I'll throw the game in. Belts do a good job making me come back to the came.

I'm still slowing going through my 2nd career (probably my last). I think I am 18-2 on the hardest difficulty level. 17 wins via sub and 1 decision win. Career gets stale quick. I hate the training between matches (I've been skipping them since my 3rd match since winning gives a decent amount of points).

I've learned my lesson on trading in my sports games. If I trade them, I tend to get an itch to play again after a couple months. I'm sure I'll be playing this on and off for awhile. I doubt I'll get get the Black Belt Belt. My stand up isn't good enough at BB.

      tl;dr
      - Career and Training gets old fast
      - Online Belt system is nice and adds replay ability.
      MLB the Show - Cubs
      2015: 80-82
2016: 96-66 - Lost Game 7 of WS (18 innings to Red Sox)
2017: 93-69 - Swept by Red Sox in World Series
2018: 100-62 - Swept by Dodgers in NLCS
      2019: 14-11

Not going to lie. I have lost interest. Game is so unresponsive, and not to mention unrealistic. I will keep it just in case the game is saved by a patch.

The most disappointing game for this new generation of consoles for me. I had such high hopes for the game too because I am a UFC fan.

Not that interested in online as no unranked lobbies and 80% the fights are fighting the same character. I don't play ranked.

So yeah, interest has been lost and it only gets played if a mate comes round.
If you're on xbox one I'd love to play you. I guarantee I don't spam and I don't pick the usual fighters.

Re: Are People Losing Interest Already?

I picked up the game Sunday and have around 40 fights already. I agree with saying a lot of the fights feel very similar. They are to a degree. I also am a tad frustrated with the stamina, but for those saying you should see a big drain on stamina for haymakers and the big swings I slightly disagree.

Last night at the end of round 3 the little guys were still throwing bombs at each other and it is not uncommon for that. Personally I think the stamina should be tied into "gassing" more and overall stamina. You let your stamina go down to nothing you lose overall stamina and it gets harder to get back to the top each time. You see these people gas and they just have nothing. Someone like Cain has a harder time with his bar going down than say a Mark Hunt.

The ground game, clinch and takedown could use more as well... But I'm going to say this. I refuse to compare this game to UFC 3. Simply because it's two different games at different points. I'd compare this to ufc 2010 more. Which was a good, but didn't deliver on 09. That's where I think this is. Its EA MMA part 2. Needs to find a way to deliver though. I'm staying interested just on the free fighters and potential patches... Plus it's a great quick game with friends.

Scotty O, power shots that connect or even are blocked, I am with you. But whiffed power shots where you have over extended and the energy had no place to transfer. That should be much more exhausting.

Re: Are People Losing Interest Already?

Just wanted to echo what others have already said in this thread.

                            1) Need more fighters at each weight class... I would say there should be at least 20 fighters in each weight class (not counting guys that fight at different weights) at games launch. The only class I would have a bit of trouble coming up with more then 20 fighters for would be the ladies division, but that is just because its new and I know I can name more then whats in the game now.

                            2) Event mode

                            3) More CAF slots would be really nice, I never make actual guys because it annoys me they don't look like the other characters and there names and stats are off. I do however, like making fake guys to expand the roster, gives the names some tomato cans to beat up

                            4) I know it has been said that the UFC controls this, but let us edit the roster... what sports game doesn't allow you to do this? Stats + equipment

                            5) I like the idea of a Universe mode, but only if it was done well

                            6) Expanded call name audio

                            7) I was really disappointed with the walk out music. I swear it was said somewhere that almost every fighter had their actual walkout music... well we all know that didn't happen. Please make that happen.

                            8) a lot of the game play issues that have already been addressed on this forum. One that I don't feel like I hear a lot though, is the ability to take the back. There are tons of UFC fighters who try to take the back whenever they can as a main part of their strategy. I believe the only way to do it in this game is if your opponent gives it to you while you are in full mount. This is ridiculous. When I have a player in the back clinch and I take them down I end up in side control???? really, I should be in back control... Should be way more ways to TAKE the back, not wait to have it given to em.

As you can see, I'm a big offline fantasy UFC universe guy. The lack of these features is why I got tired of this game after the first week, but you got my $60 so... guess I'll do way more research next time
                            and... BOOM goes the dynamite!

I regret buying this game. But I have only myself to blame. Should have known better after the demo. And I do compare this game to UFC 3. Considering that was the most recent MMA game why wouldnt I? I understand its a diff company but to not take good elements from a previous regime is stupid imo

It's not quite that simple. It's not like 2K who bought the WWE license vut also brough yukes the same developer with them. There is no source code to work from. Every idea you want in there had to be programmedbfrom scratch essentially. I am not one to normally pick up for EA, especially with my opinions on their football franchise, but it wasn't just a matter of putting everything from UFC 3 in there. They have to do that and get it all to work. Getting the core gameplay was the 1st priority. While it definitely needs some work, it's not 100% bad. I like the damage being tied to stamina, although stamina should be much more severely punished. And certain animations should be much slower or flat out impossible to perform when gassed. But enough bad, we all know the bad. The footwork and countering and striking (when guys arent throwing 62 consecutive spinkicks) are all great positives. And stuff that should be built on.
