But thanks again aholbert32 and truly your answers are getting me psyched for the game.

Now here's my question. What would you rate the authenticity of the game compared to real world MMA, based on what you have heard and played? I know Mixed Martial Arts might never be perfected in video game form, but what do you think of it so far?
    I'll say this:

Its close. The build I played had bugs. The build I played only had the AI installed on 10 people. The build I played was being tweeked by the devs and suggestions were being made regarding the game by the devs. Finally the build i played was not close to final.

Yet when I came home I wondered if it was the best MMA game I played. That was a legitimate question in my mind and I've played every MMA game.

Now I came home and played UFC Undisputed 3 again and there are some things that UFC 3 does that UFC 2 doesnt and at this point I still prefer UFC 3. With that said, I'm happy where EA is with the game. UFC 3 was the result of 6 years of development.

UFC 2 is in year 4 so I think its in a good place.

      There are 8 of us:

5 of the GCs were picked by vote on the UFC forums. 2 are pretty prominent Youtube guys who played 1 heavily and 1 who was a top guy on another site. The non-UFC forum guys (including me) were chosen by EA.

How many matches can you do per card in Event Mode?

So this works similar to HUT, FUT, MUT, etc, correct?
From the info revealed here you build 5 custom fighters and build them along.
When you fight, do all 5 fight under the same cards?
Are there schedules so you can train them? Will there be injuries?
Basically, will this work as a Universe Mode to some degree?
Will it use the same dynamics as the career mode but with a stable of fighters?

It seems heavily influenced by Diamond Dynasty. We don't know many details yet though.

I imagine it will either randomly pick a weight class (with your 5 fighters all being in different weights) for your UT fight. They tend to make UT modes pretty quick and a five card fight wouldn't be that. I also doubt you'll see much influence from career mode; it'll probably be like "I got a +2 right punch power card, I can apply it to a fighter," not "I can set this guy to train punching."

It wont work as a universe mode at all and that isnt the intent really. I dont believe there are injuries and there arent training schedule.

UT is completely different from career mode.

Do you know by chance about the judging system in ea ufc 2? What I noticed in the last game they used to pan out to the fighter who won the round and you knew instantly you won or lossed that round.

It seemed they were like bias to a point where you knew that you lossed or won a round or fight.

If this is true I somehow went over 300 fights without ever noticing, and now I really wish I didn't know it.

I don't recall that being the case in UFC 1. In fact there was a few times I was getting destroyed and they panned out to me.

Are striking controls the same? Hopefully they didn't mess with that any. I can't wait to use the new standup controls. I'm ready to duck some hooks and unleash my fury.

Slightly different. We are getting close to the beta so I think I can talk about it. You guys already know about the high low block and the head movement. With the addition of the high/low block, it means that there is now only one button to do power/modified strikes. That is LB.
