Re: Why Mighty Mouse Doesn't Like UFC 2

Demetrious doesn't like UFC 2 because UFC 2 is not a good game. And there are way better games to play that are better games overall, like Mortal Kombat X that I hate, but it's still way better in every aspect of gaming.

As long as EA UFC is slow, sluggish, unresponsive (not only in combat, but in the menu and even fighter selection), unrealistic, unpolished, lacks detail, 30fps sport/fighting game and many other things - a fast thinker who relies on fast thinking and instincts like DJ will never enjoy this game. And I'm glad he said his opinion on the game, because this game needs to change in UFC 3 to at least be an average game and not feel like a fan made game in an alpha stage that you can pay 20$ to play it early when it's still broken.

An overall 80% review score would prove otherwise. In the end though, the only thing that matters are sales and profit and the game sold over a million physical units. They probably won't change what isn't broken.

Mighty mouse was spamming elbows in his fight against Henry Cejudo.

Reviewers are paid to give EA games good review scores mate. Listen to ACG review on YouTube.

I have UFC2 and it's lacking game. The game is slow, sluggish, unresponsive, stamina is draining too fast when striking (yes, I know EA wanted to stop button mashers, but killed the immersion FOR ME in the process, it's not balanced), have locked animations which do make this game robotic and unnatural (think about PES here, when you couldn't break animation, you had to wait for it to finish to make next move), etc.

Also don;t get me started on how unrealistic the KO aspects are. I hit guy with flying KNEE straight to the chin, he didn't even get rocked. Mind you I did it with ****ing JONES! Hit guys 3-4 times CLEAN on head with Johnson, no wobble, no KO. Sorry, but this game is FAR from realism. One clean hook/undercut to the chin, you're out cold in most scenarios. You can train your body, but you cannot train your chin. I can show how easily you go down just pressing down on your chin.

Would also recommend to watch some proper Muay Thai fights. This **** in UFC2 is farce . This brought me to conclusion: forget about striking in UFC2. You're much better Taking down people and using Ground and pound on them or... Use submissions, but you need to be good at ground/clinching game to excel. I gave up with striking game.

EA has a LOT of ground to cover to make their UFC series even comparable to Undisputed from THQ.

Lol what? So everytime you hit someone with a flying knee they should be knocked out or rocked? Literally everyone would spam flying knee's then.

C'mon man. Good job you're not a video game developer.

Didn't people complain about spamming flying knees and spinning stuff causing rocks and TKOs prior to the patch?

                It's a video game...

You're complaining about EA Sports making an EA Sports style game. Look at all of EA Sports titles, or even just EA Canada's titles. They're all in the same style as EA UFC.... which is a game with simulation aspects...

I also think you're looking at the Undisputed series with some serious rose coloured glasses. I remember doing alot of 1-2 and hook spamming in Undisputed, Doing alout of Muay Thai Whip spamming... alot of people crying about how MT knees were overpowered, people crying about shining the controller as a submission mini game...

I'm not sure I understand how you compare an MMA game to Mortal Kombat.

I am talking about CLEAN hit on chin with flying knee. This doesn;'t happen a lot of times.

And yes, I know it's a video game and keeping in mind it's EA we are talking about.

100% agree. Even a €20 game like Rocket Leageau offers a lot more content en replayability. It's too bad, because it has been too long til we got a great mma game
