Re: 1/2 to the body spam
Ok what I'm trying to tell you is that the tactic you're describing works against lower level opponents , even some higher level opponents.
But it will not work against someone who doesn't kick and sticks to a very formulated 1-2 combo over and over.
I can avoid 3 strikes through using side steps and then go for a clinch and they will still be able to block it , someone can throw a punch at me while I'm going for a takedown and still be able to block it ....
Here was a clip i posted recently where i set up a takedown
here opponent misses
opponent gets parried
opponent throws another strike while my head is at their ****ing hip but they still manage to get it into sprawl position.
My take down was also maxed while his TDD was 81.
"You went for a slam takedown"
Yes I did , because it was set up perfectly .... an evaded strike , a parried strike and a strike being thrown while I was mid takedown. If there is ever a time to slam takedown it's that .
Like I don't have any videos showing the side step --> clinch denials but if i meet those opponents I'll get them. Because it generally a broken system. The strikers are given far too much lee way in denying clinches/take downs
But that doesn't mean that body spamming 1 2s is a sufficient tactic, because it isnt.Comment

Re: 1/2 to the body spam
When will users start blaming themselves rather than the game? At what point will people stop looking for excuses for losing, like this game mechanic is broken or that game mechanic is broken, and just accept that they are not as good as their opponent at certain aspects of the game.
We went through this with the clinch before, and now this.Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira - UFC Hall of FameComment

If it makes you feel any better I agree with everything and I only play ranked matches like you so I know the truth about it.Comment

Re: 1/2 to the body spam
I think removing the speed from strike levels would help with this. You already have a punching speed. Why would you add speed to the strike levels? This really looks goofy in UT. The speed should just be tied to your fighters strike speed. Let the levels increase damage able to be given with the strike.@bikingforjesus on InstagramComment

Re: 1/2 to the body spam
We get it. Some of you are very good at the game and never lose. But for the people who don't play all day...the spamming just isn't fun and ruins the game somewhat.
The other 95% of players who are just normal players and are getting spammed to death...it isn't fun.Comment

Re: 1/2 to the body spam
To be honest it's pure insanity. Stepping into the online world should be pleasant; its current state fills one with remose. What is needed is a comprehensive overhaul. Bring back EA MMA. The system was more suited to fighting. By fixing combos, we are on the right path. Looking forward to the next patch, which should bring huge changes to strikingComment
