The problem now is there no visual feed back and timing is inconsistent with different transitions and your current GA or lack of. It's also only beneficial to attempt swoop technique in the top positions, as you can't get reversed transitioning on the bottom. Also, a failed perfect swoop actually costs more stamina than a standard transition. The ground meta has devolved into deny first, gain stamina advantage, advance your attack. Adding a perfect swoop indicator, and making the stamina cost for perfect swoop transition denials being minimal, would add a another level to the ground game and fix some of these play style complaints. The fact that probably 95% or more of the player base doesn't even know about perfect swoop is a bummer.
Yeah I literally have no idea how to do a perfect swoop. I've read GPD's thread explaining grappling but I just don't understand how to do it, everything else I understand.

You know how we transitioned last game? You went from center to say the 3 o'clock position to the 12 o'clock position to do a transition. The swoop is the exact same way, but you have to time it right. You still do the quarter turn, but you slow it down so when your stick hits the 12 o'clock position (any ending spot for the quarter turn transition), it coincides with the meter filling all the way. If you land on the 12 o'clock position with your RS the same time the transition meter has filled, it will not be able to be reversed.

Thanks @GPD and @Fishingtime to link me that tutorial I was unable to find myself

So about the swoops: if I start at 3 o'clock I swoop from right to left to 12, while on 9 o'clock I swoop from left to right to 12. So what is with transitions which start at 6 or 12 o'clock (are there even reversable transitions)?
I think that a video of someone explaining it is highly appreciated. I'm with @SOMEKZERO thinking that 95% of players are not even aware of this feature, as it is only mentioned here in the forums and not in the game tutorial itself...

95% don't use it because the timing is hard. It changes because of GA making transitions quicker.

It is just a quarter turn. You don't have to land on 12 o'clock. If you start your transition by going to the 3 o'clock position, you can land on 6 or 12 o'clock. Depends on how you transition. I always go up to finish a transition to 3 or 9 o'clock.

Any transition will have a quarter turn needed to get the swoop. So if you have to do a transition by going to the 6 o'clock position, you can turn it to the 3 or 9 o'clock position. If you have a transition that you have to go to the 12 o'clock position to do, you have to land on the 3 or 9 o'clock position.
