Two things: I dont constantly pressure the AI (I give them opportunities get their stamina back) and I dont hug high block. I take my finger off of high block and only use it when reacting not as a habit.

Lorenz Larkin v. Rory Mcdonald - Won by UD. He scored some takedowns but no real threat. Just a lot of reversals.

Leo Santos v. Nate Diaz - Easier UD. Diaz was a panic wrestler the whole fight. Had a chance to potentially put me away in the 3rd when he achieved top mount but he just kind of stood in the position, letting me get back to half guard.

Stipe Miocic v. JDS - I absolutely hate using heavyweights so this was a drag SD win for miocic. Annoying moment happened in the 3rd. I dropped him out cold in the finish the fight position and he recovered after another strike. Then proceeded to reverse every move i made after as if he didn't just get knocked out lol. Closer fight but I was really just throwing blows trying to get the fight over with.

The game's version of gassing is too severe. On Pro they should remove the AI having the striking gassed effects, while retaining the 'back off when gassed' AI.

          Re: AI is still issue.

I cannot even win a fight on HARD now, lost 9 fights the first time and 11 fights next time in custom events and i used to win most fights before patch.

I am mixing it up pressuring them and even though i land many head kicks and punches rocking them they just keep backing up recovering and i cannot finish them off. I also cannot pull off a submission which i was doing easily before,so i am certainly not going on PRO yet,i only have tried a few rounds on PRO so again i don't know if HARD is harder than PRO.

How do you guys get the knockout blows to finish the AI because the more i pressure i lose stamina then have to back up to regain it then go at it again. I feel the ground game now is getting really hard, not to transistion but just to get the better of the AI and win seems a lot harder since patch, and thats only on HARD.

Get range. Watch AI throw strike from out of range and miss. Punch AI in face during their whiff. That's usually all you have to do to beat the AI standing.

I've managed to get a fairly good fight against the AI now, but I know it's not ideal for a lot of people but I thought I'd share it.

I've created my own fighter and made them 85 overall and gave them only level 1 moves and perks. Hard difficulty with no HUD and I'm getting 5 round decisions which is nice.

The funny thing is if I give the same fighter a couple level 5 overhands and change of KO/stun perk to level 5, I average 1st round KOs.

As I said, not ideal as I know people want to play with real fighters but it may be an option for some people.
