So you're telling me that despite the fact the Mirco Cro Cop, a guy who is not at all known as a grappler, not only attempted this move in a very recent fight, but successfully used it to get out of Gabriel Gonzaga's mount, that not only should he not have the move, but the move shouldn't even be in the game at all?

The most annoying players are those who are incredibly good yet still feel the need to pick Rockhold or Jones.

Also, I really really hate the idea so many have that fighter Xyz should have tried a given move for it to be in his moveset. That is asinine.

I'll stick to BJJ since I know it more than kickboxing. But if Maia never tried a kimura from side control, or guard -- whatever, in a mma match, does that mean he doesn't know how to do it? The logic is silly.

Now don't get me wrong, I certainly don't want a homogenous moveset for everyone, but I do like to give creative Liberty to developers (using a certain logic for their decisions).

The thing that will make players individualized won't be the generic moves but player specific strikes or submissions, and movements which are unique to them. I imagine some time can be spent customizing fighter movement as well. But that's all next level stuff

Lets chill out with the dev attacks. I know for a fact that devs know quite a bit about the sport.

Dont get me wrong. I would love if the devs opened up the movesets to the Gcers or knowledgable people like Haz. The problem is the community cant even come to a conclusion about what "realistic movesets" are.

Some of us are ok with some players having moves that they havent attempted. For example, I'm OK with Aldo having a spinning back fist even though he's never attempted one.

Some of us want fighters only having stand up moves that they have attempted in real life but are OK with them having ground moves they havent attempted (I believe this was MTS's position on the old EA Forums).

Some only want fighters having moves they have attempted in real life no matter if its the ground moves or stand up.

And now you want players to only have moves that they were actually successful in landing.

I think the devs would be better served to listen to the community more when it comes to stuff like movesets. With that said, it hurts the community's credibility when people are saying fighter X shouldnt have a move....when he's actually performed that move in real life.

Unless it's a completely esoteric move I think it makes sense to give it to players who very likely know and practice a type of style. Again, Maia/Jacare/Reiss/Burns know, and can execute at a very high level, any jiu jitsu move this game has. Let's I'd go ahead and guess this is the same for very high level Thai fighters, karate, wrestlers etc.

Again, Maia/Jacare/Reiss/Burns know, and can execute at a very high level, any jiu jitsu move this game has. Let's I'd go ahead and guess this is the same for very high level Thai fighters, karate, wrestlers etc.

Right now the good strikers are limited because there is only one modifier. Should a striker should be able to throw a superman punch, sure. Should that striker not have a overhand because a superman is assigned to the button input, heck no. Imo

Should a striker not be able to throw a round house, but only be able to throw question mark kicks?

Or should they not be able to just throw a regular body kick, but only be able to throw spinning kicks?

Or should they not be able to throw a regular leg kick, but only be able to throw oblique kicks?

1 modifier is frustrating.

From fights I watch fighters tend to throw basic roundhouse much more in real life than question mark kick. I wanted Rory to have question kick in ufc 1, but not at the expensive of a roundhouses.

I just needed a quick vent about striking.

You're right on regarding the submission moveset. I'm not sure what the logic is behind it, but most BJJ players are proficient in all the moves this game has by the time they're probably a purple belt (at least they would be expected to at my school). So for a couple of world champion black belts to have missing fundamentals is something I've been curious about. Perhaps their is a reason, but I certainly don't get it

Imanari roll against rocked opponent is death. If opponent is gassed it's crazy easy to pull off as well.

I only use him against other cafs. I think every caf i have ever fought was either max stats or sandbagged, except for when I played against one of your cafs.
