    I think that was actually patched in to make the sways more usable. Before, there was very little reason to sway.

      Swaying should be used exclusively to dodge head strikes. Leaning backwards shouldn't mess up the hit detection when I try to punch you there.

        It only does it for like 2 strikes, and it doesn't work for every strike. The way it was, made it less of a choice to evade. You could only use it for head strikes. So it was very easy to mix it up on someone and just go to the body and negate the sway.

          I know, but those 2 strikes that would have landed in a logical world didn't and now I'm gassed and at a disadvantage because someone thought leaning backwards was a good way to protect your stomach? Nah. That's dumb.

            It made the sway much more viable. Also gives reason to use other strikes in a situation like this. The heavy body hooks don't miss.

              How about you just make it so you block high and low while swaying?

              I find it hard to believe they did that on purpose. More to do with the targeting system glitch in.

                I'd have to look for it, but I do remember them doing something like this. Could have actually been from the beta feedback patches. It was like you said before and those two strikes would have landed.

                  As always, someone loses, then that person complains and asks a feature to be removed. I feel sorry for people whose lives have no meanings besides their rankings on the leaderboards.

                        That's not the case at all. Losing is losing. Losing by having my arms taken from 10% damage all the way to 100% and getting KO'd because of a dumb animation combined with a certain set of perks is a different story. What happened to me is severely broken and should never ever happen in a game. If you lost the way I did, you would see the same problem with that scenario and completely agree with me. You're acting like I'm just moaning because I lost a game when in reality, what happened to me shouldn't even exist. Let's see what you say when I run into you and pound you out using the side saddle glitch. Losing by a broken element of the game is not the same as losing as you would normally so as far as I'm concerned you can keep your mouth shut if you've got nothing to add to this thread.

                        Also, I couldn't give a * about leaderboards or rankings or any of that.

                          the mechanic and animation are goofy, for sure

                          But I have no problem with that scenario happening --- i.e. you win 4 rounds comfortably; get CRACKED; try and block several shots, but eventually get plastered.

                          Again, the way that scenario plays out in this game is ... far from ideal ...

                          but that should be a real potential outcome in this game, and really, it RARELY happens especially outside of UT

                          you said it yourself --- 'it's very easy to survive when rocked; just hold high block' --- sometimes that's all you can do, I understand!, but that should not automatically save your life by any means! Especially if they dedicated 2 of their perks towards 'finish the fight' type perks.

                          That's a big investment and he reaped the reward.

                          but for the 3rd time...I don't like the way this is represented in this game and hopefully they'll totally revamp and improve finish the fight in UFC 3 ---

                            there is a serious hit detection problem w/ sway --- *especially* body shots

                            I love sway. But I love punishing people that 'lean' on it too much (haha...)

                            But i'm telling you, a good number of body shots totally WHIFF when an opponent leans back --- especially uppercuts and hooks

                            it's a *hit detection* issue not an intentional feature of the game, I'm about 98% sure!

                                and/or some sort of 'bull rush' against the cage --- sort of a mix between strikes, pushing against cage into clinch, and a takedown (if you want to take it to ground; but maybe all you want to do is bull rush them into cage so you can land big strikes while they're still rocked --- you should be able to pick your attack for 'finish the fight')
