The fighter stats and perks are a hot mess, along with a lot of moves. Game is definitely better than when it came out, but you have to kill a spade a spade.


Again, I enjoy playing it, but can't even get upset at the absurdity anymore and just laugh it off.

The AI for me is great now,i could win on pro easy before and now i can lose on normal and hard so i don't even try pro at the moment,but the thing is surely normal and hard are still not better than pro difficulty ?

The only thing I don't like at this point is the lack of being able to finish on the feet. It's so annoying to just beat the crap out of someone for minutes standing, hitting them over and over in the same body part they're rocked on, they just walk through it. Then they get you in full mount and 3 punches later it's over. It's like wtf dude. Sometimes it's a chore even when I'm dominating a fight. Rock after rock after rock they survive, a guy I should have KOed in 3 minutes, now I gotta spend 10. I gotta wait through the round highlights because they won't skip em, it's just like, crap man.

Oh, and transition fakes in the clinch. Stupid.

Yh thing is they really don't know how to do a proper damage system. I've stopped playing this game for a while now and i'm currently back to playing undisputed 3 and I can say even the damage system was proper in undisputed. Literally the only thing undisputed did wrong with their damage system is letting it be cumulative where damage didn't recover. Other than that, the damage system was perfect. You couldn't take a bunch of shots standing or on the ground, or you would get rocked right away and you couldn't walk through hard shots especially if you were rocked, or injured to that body part. Then counter strikes did big damage...especially if you got hit on counter by a high lvl strike. For example if you took a Cro Cop head kick on counter hit, 9 times out of 10 you would get rocked right away. The damage system was much more realistic than EA UFC imo. Literally the only thing wrong with it was the cumulative damage.

I've taken about 2 months off but nothing has changed for me, I will have a look at UFC 3 though depending on who the gamechangers are.

Game started off fun, when a lot of people were online but slowly got worse as different styles left and now on xbox we're left with 2000 cheesers.

I play this game every day, and everyday I have great fights.

Just stop playing Ranked, and Ultimate Scheme. You're not gonna get anything but try-hard cheesers there.

Play Quick match.

I have so many cool, fun matches with cool people on there. People will often choose low ranked fighters, or pick opponents that simulate real life fights that have happened. I often receive, and send "good fight" messages, cuz I have so many good fights with guys. It's just a much better atmosphere, with mostly just a bunch of MMA fans that wanna have fun, and not chase some meaningless leaderboard spot.

Joining a league helps also. I just recently joined EFC, and it's incredible having such a cool active community to be apart of. There's always people to spar, and chat with, and just have a good time.

I played for maybe a month of 2 from launch and just recently fired it up again and realise I have missed playing it. Is there still a large player base on the PS4? I don't really wana subscribe to PS4 online if it's nothing more than the die hard few. Would really appreciate some feed back on that fellas.

Edit - P.S. Can someone fill me in on what that new bar in the top centre of the screen is for (blue/red bar appears and disappears depending on what you do)

So maybe new gamers buy it now.

The blue/red bar is the Grapple advantage bar for the groundgame and clinchgame. So you know when you have the advantage to transition.

I stopped playing for a decent while, playing again, loving it. Everything about the perks and stuff ring true.

Maybe C-Mac should be buffed? (Shoot me know, never, ever, ever thought I'd say that)
