Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
Nice that it's out there. I thought it was pretty obvious from the start, but atleast GC'ers don't have to keep dancing around it anymore with their "if", haha.
Very interested to see the result of the input from people such as Robin Black that have supposedly been involved with this title, and GPD's take on the striking.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
But good god, offline it's annoying. It makes the game more challenging, which I appreciate, but in the next game, I'd appreciate the CPU being more defensive by using good footwork and less parrying.
I don't even care if it feels like the CPU is running away from me, make it my job to cut off the cage and allow me to win on points and aggression if need be. That's more accurate to me than the amount of parrying the CPU does currently.
I can't parry to save my life. Just can't get the timing down. I think that's probably more accurate for most real life fighters anyway. That's why most of them rely on distance management and moving around the octagon, as well as head movement, rather than timing a strike with a parry.
Just my two cents.

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
you can sort of preload a parry making it way easier to perform. I don't do it that way, but it's easier. I throw volume strikes so preloading it isn't really an option for me.
I know in ufc 1 the parries in offline pro mode were so crazy they literally felt like they would crash the game.
I'm just thinking parries do happen. if ea wanted to completely remove the counter window that's fine, but getting rid of something that happens instead of reworking it doesn't sit well with me.
I talked about this with leg kicks, but some of the parries in this game aren't even parries. I think with some of the head kicks a successful parry just makes the kick miss you altogether, you never deflect it.Comment

They arent answering questions about the game yet. I think its safe to assume that many aspects of the standup are being worked on though.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
I hope the same grappling system is coming back for UFC 3.
Maybe someone can shed some light on this? I know striking is getting a nice overhaul but is the grappling going to stay the same like UFC 2 but with more improvements and tweaks?
I need answers people!Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
I could be wrong, but I suspect if ea was going to wildly overhaul grappling GPD would have had a ginormous hissy fit and wouldn't work at EA anymore.Comment

I also hate not finding fights in quick match because it's not open rank.Last edited by Dave_S; 02-04-2017, 12:30 AM.Comment

I actually wish the parry fingers out animation was the holding the high block animation. Atleast that way it looks more realistic then holding closed fist.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
as a potential customer I feel we have a right to know if quick match is open rank before game comes out since it affects ability to find online matches.
Being able to not have hooks in in some instances of back flat postured up would be be in 3rd game.Comment
