I'd like to see more Context Specific transitions and more Grapple Strike Counters. These can help give the grappling more of a scramble feel.

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
They need to add countering ground strikes into submissions for some fighters...the good submission fighters in particular. This was in UD3 and added a whole new layer of strategy for/against good ground guys. You had to be very careful not to go to crazy with your gnp against certain fighters like Big Nog or Maia, cuz being postured up didn't mean you were safe from their submissions. If you were in their guard or half guard, you had to be wary of submissions at all times. But I feel like this could be done through the grapple strike countering system too. Just like you flick the stick left/right to arm trap, instead you would hold down the submission modifier(L2/LT) and flick the stick left/right to counter the strike into a submission attempt.Comment

There is a Context Specific armbar from Back Mount already in the game, too bad it leads to a HUGE bug. But I would like to see more of this idea, Context Specific Submissions.
For example, I wish the current Grapple Strike Counter from Submissive Back Mount to Standing where you shake your opponent off your back was a normal transition but that there was a Context Specific Armbar there for the guy being shucked off to snatch your limb on your way out.
Or keep the original shake off a Grapple Strike Counter and have the armbar be a "Submission Grapple Strike Counter Counter"!Last edited by Generative James; 02-22-2017, 05:26 PM.Testing.... Testing....

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
I just want the body triangle in the game
Draws (it can be turned off in online/competitive play. So that shuts down the argument that people don't want to have draws in online)
Doctor Stoppages (can be turned off in online/competitive. This also shuts down the argument that people don't want to end a fight on doctor stoppages online)Loyal Browns fan

Draws should be a thing in every game mode in offline and online.Comment

But a while ago when i brought it up, i think a game changer said that "the problem is that someone would be disappointed if a title fight or a regular fight got stopped by draw or doctor stoppage" and i think that's just a horrid excuse for not having it in the game when there's a lot of work arounds around it

While I would love to have had draws in the game, there were bigger fish to fry with what time we had. I mean, ideally they happen rarely, and even then there will be people who don't want them. So we would be spending a ton of resources for a feature that almost never happens and would even anger some players when it did....so we didn't.
I recall one time sending out a small video to the team, internally of course, of an incredible double-KO which it soo awesome. Alas, that was the last time it would happen.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
Draws dont work like that in real life. If 3 rounds are close you wont see a draw. Draws happen when fighter 1 wins a 10-8 and fighter two wins 2 10-9 rounds.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
Woodley - Thompson I was a draw.
Hope the devs find some solution for correct scoring the fights!Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
Yeah I know, I understand that draws would be difficult to implement but it would be nice if it was possible to pull back a draw after losing the first two rounds and come out and dominate in the third. Not really a huge issue I suppose with how rare they are and how difficult it would be to set up.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
Honestly in the past the biggest reason they were not in is because there's actually a lot of work involved in almost every area of the game to support draws, and the bang for buck was truly not worth it.

That's so much worse for competitive gameplay than just giving a draw.PSN: Lord__Hazanko
