Don't even worry about it. The gameplay changes so much over time. I used to be really good when the game first dropped because I read and understood. We haven't gotten any useful information lately though. So I would just be jumping in like the rest.

The GC'ers IMO should be banned from all competition because of this fact. They know the mechanics better than anyone else. To me that is an unfair advantage. Knowing the game is essential. That coms over time, or helping build the mechanics.

Oh, another thing that helps is oven mitts, if you want to get really good. Get used to playing online wearing oven mitts on both hands. After a week or so when you take off the oven mitts you'll be amazed at how good you are. Your reaction time and denials will be crazy good.

If oven mitts are too difficult you can wear gloves, the thicker the better.

When I first started off in this game I would just do quick fights to get a good feel for the game. Jumping straight into ranked is not a good thing to do because it messes up your record if you don't know what your doing

Lol. Wearing gloves is a legit technique for developing hand sensitivity. (for racing cars and what not) I couldn't imagine actually playing video games in them though.

Do these gloves have to cover the fingers in an individual or mitteny fashion? Or can I expect the same results from my fingerless UFC knockoff gloves?
                  Testing.... Testing....

No way. Fingerless knockoff gloves won't make you better. They will make you look cool as hell though.

It is, but not for video games. Lols. It's technique used in auto racing. I learned from Ross Bentleys "Speed Secrets". It's a technique winners use.

Some of my jokes in this thread have been fire though.

What's the pen and paper for?

This is unrelated, but I keep tablet with me to take notes on occasion for fighter movesets, ect.. Being able to make checklists is nice if you're gathering information.
